"Feedback on Andrew Mellor"

Since first meeting Andrew after the dreadful impact damage done to our house he has been a tower of strength for us.

His friendly nature and understanding of what was needed to help us deal with this extremely stressful situation, was amazing.
Being able to contact him whenever we had any worries was such a relief.
Andrew steered us through all the processes needed as there was so much to sort out.
We will be forever grateful for all his help.

"Excellent customer service from the GHG team"

Andrew Merrell, the Loss Adjustor, has been fantastic throughout. GHG were appointed during the latter stages of the claim after we had experienced numerous delays elsewhere. Andrew was very proactive in chasing the other parties involved to enable the claim to be settled. I have no doubt that Andrew's proactive approach and intervention helped enormously. He is helpful, responsive and professional. My experience with GHG has been very positive.

In October 2023 a car was accidentally driven into my home. GHG Solutions sent a Loss Adjuster shortly after, who agreed the living circumstances were bad and promised to progress things quickly. The opposite happened. I received very poor contact from the loss adjuster. After chasing him, when he would eventually answer it would be with an apology and excuse, but no action. Ultimately, I was forced to take the matter to the Ombudsman to get the matter resolved.

Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to read the reviews as they were linked to us via Hastings Insurance who I would also not recommend as they declined responsibility when things went wrong.
Now my home is fixed I want to stop others from experiencing the turmoil I went through.

"Appalling service from start to finish"

Appalling service from start to finish. If your insurance company assign GHG as your loss adjusters I would recommend requesting another one. I have never before had to go through a process with such incompetent and dishonest people and as a company operating in a regulated industry they should be taking a very close look at the way in which their employees are carrying out their duties.

GHG handled my claim on behalf of Axa and they provided the worst service I have ever come across. Rather than guide me through the claims handling process they made the whole process a nightmare. The loss adjuster assigned to me plus most other people I came across, were both incompetent but also deceitful - he would claim reports had been sent when they hadn’t on more than one occasion. I had to call to chase just to move the process along on an almost daily basis for 7 months.

They claim on their website to have earned a reputation for’High quality loss adjusting’ - I have seen absolutely no evidence of this in the 9 months that I have had to deal with them.

We had a flood back in Oct 23 and Chelsea Baron has been our contact throughout and made a devastating time easier, Professional, absolutely on the ball and caring.

"AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE "

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Avoid this company like the plague. My house flooded in December 2023, it's now June and still no dehumidifier, my house is STILL WET. Due to total negligence and incompetence my house now needs double work doing and to add insult to injury my loss adjuster told me that they won't be sorting out alternative accommodation!? The loss adjuster lies constantly, doesn't do anything they say they're going to do, rude and lacks any kind of empathy. Told me that the drying team had completed their report back in April 2024 and told me it was dry... It was soaking!? This morning ANOTHER contracter came and confirmed the house is in fact still WET... When I asked my loss adjuster for the report he wasn't able to produce this, LIE AFTER LIE. I was left homeless with my 7 year old daughter for 5 weeks until they could be bothered to find alternative accommodation. As it stands ill be homeless again as of August and my house still hasn't been dried out!! You can see based from the other reviews that this company is a total waste of time. I hope this review helps people avoid this company because they really really do not care. I could go on and on about how bad my experience has been I really could. I would also like to add that I am a vulnerable adult and they were made aware of this on many occasions yet still left me and my child homeless. I have now logged an official complaint and will he taking this as far as I have to.

Excellent service from GHG who were assigned to deal with my subsidence insurance claim via L&V .
In particular Ian Walter’s and Karen Sharman . Both of whom dealt with my claim very efficiently and took the time to explain the process and guide me through it .

"Fire in garage"

Fire in garage. in 14th December 2022
Still on going still fighting to get them to pay out.
After submitting my contents list and going the FOS and found in my favour, still nothing.
Over one year after submitting my contents list now they are starting to quiz and ask questions on the items, why wait one year Michelle yet another play from you being as much use as a chocolate fire guard

"GHG - professional and thorough"

GHG was appointed by my insurance company following a substantial water leak that penetrated from the top floor to the ground floor resulting in the collapse of 2 ceilings. Faced with this disaster, I can only say how professional, courteous and thorough Wesley from GHG was in his assessment of the catastrophe. He took on all the communications with the insurance company, was informative from the outset in terms of what could be repaired and what would have to be replaced. His professionalism throughout helped enormously in dealing with the disaster.

"Dishonest "

GHG say how sorry they are and to get in touch with customer services where they will look into the complaint. I am phoning weekly and they say the same thing but do absolutely nothing. Totally incompetent, chaotic, at best. Don’t use them.
It’s dishonest to say they will get money to you by a certain time or to say they can sort it quickly and then not to do what they say.
