"Incompetent, ineffective and unsympathetic response"
Ms Hong Sutton visited my home on the 24/11/2023 after storm Ciaran on the 02/11/2023. Initially I was impressed with her knowledge and appraisal, but now 7 weeks later after constantly asking for updates, an emergency interim payment and ANY info at all, I am still yet to hear anything.
I call her constantly and she has only ever called me twice. I have only received one email in 7 weeks. I was told on the 8/1/2023 that an interim payment would take 2-3 weeks - that would be THREE MONTHS since losing my roof.
We are an ongoing business and cannot re-open until we receive some money to cover the £20k+ we spent on replacing the roof.
Her reports to the insurers were full of mistakes, which delayed the claim being approved.
I tried calling on the 5/12 to see if an asbestos report had been receieved and the man I was referred to (Ms Sutton was unavailable) was extremely rude, saying, if the report had been carried out by another surveyor, it was of no interest to them. I had to call The Davies Group to find the results of the report.
Obviously no one could enter the building until we knew. This took 6 weeks!
I am beyond frustrated at how incompetent this company is.

"Gold star treatment from Diane Cawkwell!"
I am genuinely so shocked at these reviews! After a fire in my home, everything is now sorted and I came on here to leave a glowing review for the company - but in particular this amazing lady called Diane Cawkwell.
From day 1 this incredible lady explained things carefully to me and her communication was first class. She was always so kind and compassionate and I felt she was just so genuine. Sometimes I would receive emails from her late evening and I knew she is just one of these rare employees who wants to ensure the job is done correctly and the client feels looked after.
So, to Diane Cawkwell - a massive thankyou for being so caring and kind. Your employer is so lucky to have you!

We have a 2 up 2 down property that had a leak in the bathroom causing a lot of damage to the lounge
This is a holiday rental property covered by appropriate insurance
6 months after the incident we had to completely take over and get our own builders in as almost nothing was done and we were losing income
We blame GHHG for not doing their job and costing us thousands in lost income

Shockingly bad customer service. Incredible degree of disinterest,Inefficient. incompetent. They just don’t care about resolving claims. Still dragging on after well over a year.

Have had this company appointed as assessors for an insurance claim.
They are beyond inefficient, take no notice of anything they are told and ignore messages and phone calls.
If your insurance company appoint the, ask for another firm. I have.

If i could give the escape of water team at this company less than 1 star i would ...rude difficult staff that think nothing of shouting at you ...email at inapproprate times of the night ...use mobile if they dont want their call recorded...make you gather irrelevant information and jump through hoops... accepting claims then rejecting without a reasonable explaination...seriously bad experience avoid at all cost.

Terrible company ! Try to get out of paying with excuse after excuse nothing you send is good enough should be put out of business as they just take your premiums and when you make a genuine claim keep coming back with more bull about how what you have sent isn’t good enough !

"Excellent customer service, thank you"
GHG were our loss adjusters for an insurance claim in 2017 and we had a good service from them at this time. I called them yesterday to request information and reports about our claim and spoke to Angela (Admin) who was really helpful. She informed me that someone would get back to me in a few days but today I received everything that I requested and more. Fantastic service Angela and Craig. Thank you.

"Absolutely a shocking company !"
Absolutely a shocking company !! Avoid at all costs- If your insurance broker has these as there representative then please please don’t take the insurance as it not worth the paper it’s printed on and they will find ANYTHING not to help you with ANY genuine claim. My roof fell in due to storm damage and a engineer came out to check and take photos (didn’t even go on the roof ) to say it wasn’t storm damage within dates they he thought it happened (joke) could of been months ago and got worse.
To be told should of check my gutters so many times a year (which they was with roofers receipts) still didn’t help me…
Avoid at all cost guys !!! These con merchants just take your money and do not help… I even shopped around asking for favours to get the cost down so it wasn’t a big claim, it was £5800 for a new roof/ wood joints and rubber in the end I got it to £2650 from a chap I knew who really helped me and they still didn’t help… Not even half the bill.
Just make sure people these don’t take your money….

"Dreadful company"
Dreadful company, we have a claim that has been going on for eighteen months. They try to weasel out of paying anything coming up with excuse after excuse.
They do not keep you updated.
