"Pricey and terrible after sales support "
The products are fundamentally OK. I seemed to pay more for what friends got from others cheaper, and they look exactly the same.
The poor thing for me is that there is an issue with the paint/stickers at the bottom of the lantern panes. This flakes in the sun. It is clear as day that those panels that get lots of sunshine flaked and those in the shaded did not (even to a point where one panel is split in how it flakes). Asthetically this looks terrible.
I contacted the company and they asked for a photo. On the photo they saw the flashing was not done as per their instructions (although it has been in a way that is totally fine and there is no leak at all, i just didn't want roof felt running up the aluminium frame as they suggest). The company then said even though the flaking and flashing are not related at all, they refused to do anything as the installation process has voided the warranty.
So i paid more, and i get what i believe to be be really bad after sales.

Three large roof lights ordered today, after some great service from Joanna. She was really efficient, communicated clearly and talked me through the process. Pricing is really transparent. Looking forward to receiving the products in due course.

"Solar Glass & Customer Support"
Roof Maker lantern installed 9 years ago and really transformed the room with its slim profile design and great look from outside, this was a smart investment. Recently due to the lantern in full sun all day, I decided to go for solar glass and blue tint and replace all units as 1 did fail after 9 years. However with a 20 year guarantee on glass units this is no problem whatsoever. The customer service was truly exceptional and gave me even more confidence of how good overall the service has been from installation until now. Communication was almost immediate, no waiting or chasing for a response, Roof Maker dealt swiftly with my replacement units with no fuss as all. The solar glass fitted this time and a blue tint is a game changer, the heat transfer on these triple glazed units with Solar Glass makes a significant difference making the room noticeably cooler even in 30 degrees full sun and protecting with the blue tint, any discoloration of items below. I would recommend Roof Maker as one if not the best in class for product, quality and after sales support.

"Great windows, opaque customer service"
I recently ordered Rooflights through Roof Maker and the product is great looking and works well, I can’t fault this. However when it comes to aftercare and customer support beware.
Our builders had misplaced the remote and control until during our build, I contacted roof maker to get a replacement. They quoted £550 each or a remote control and a control box. In total this was going to cost me £1,650 on top of the £7.5k already spent with the company. The £550 they were quoting as replacement Is more than the cost in total to take a roof light from fixed to opening on their website, which normally would include a motor, hinges, rain sensor and remote. When I questioned this, the team at Roof Maker said ‘parts are more expensive when bought separately’ there was no acknowledgement for the recent purchase or a willingness to help. They did offer eventually to reduce the unit price to £450 plus VAT. Faced with a bill that was completely unaffordable I sourced the units directly from the manufacturer at a fraction on the cost - about 35% of the roof maker quote. Roof Makers response to this was that now my warranty is invalid for using the exact same component parts as theirs but not buying them through them. Given this experience, I can only imagine the ‘warranty’ is worth less than the time it’s taken me to write this review so the risk is low.
Hopefully this is helpful to others, great windows but a service you need to be wary of, they are a sales company not a customer focused business.

"Disappointing after sales service"
Initial sales experience was good. Timeline from manufacture to installation was good.
Chose the company for their wall abutment product unfortunately we were unable to use the wall trim as our pitch was too great.
We accepted this and took responsibility in follow up emails.
Since the 14th May I have been trying to resolve the fact that extra holes were drilled in the frame ( we proved that these were not necessary despite the higher pitch) and silicone left all over our new flat roof and the neighbour's.
Was told they would fill the holes with gromets and clean the silicone. Have had no further response to communications.
Skylight looks like a second hand reused model with ugly unnecessary extra holes and our sarnofil roof blemished .
Thank you for your below response.
However this appears generic as the wording is the same as those for any other negative reviews.
I am already dealing with Emma Mackay who copied and pasted a response from your Operations manager in her reply of the 30th May. I have had no response following my request to a reply from a senior manager.
I copied the MD, Operations Director and Operations Manager in my email of the 10th June.
The lack of acknowledgement prompted my review on Trustpilot.
Customers spending significant sums of money deserve a better outcome.
