"Very poor customer service "

Went to store to buy a shower tray. Few days later after unpacking and test fitting, we realised the shower tray was warped and not flat. Another round trip to take defective tray back and they only had one left in stock. Checked before leaving with the replacement and it was worse than the one we returned. “Thats the last one, you can go to Pennywell” was the reply. First of all I had an appointment, and secondly use yet more fuel and time, including tunnel costs to go and get it was not an option. I asked if they could get one sent over. Instead of having someone bring one asap or offering delivery they said they would phone me and let me know when i could collect (third tray). I received the phone call later that day saying replacement would be in on the following Wednesday (nearly a week later than i returned the first one). Other option from the salesman was “go to Pennywell if you want it quicker” which again was not suitable to me. Why they couldn’t just do that themselves still remains a mystery. Anyway, i returned to North Shields on the agreed day and spoke to several people in an attempt to collect the tray… no sign of the tray as true to form their poor service continued, the tray was not in store! So three round trips, Fuel, time and bathroom delays made me ask for a refund. The salesman did offer to have it delivered, but by this time I had zero confidence in either their service or quality of their trays. They have also now lost a sale for just under £700 for a cubicle that we intended to purchase (not that they will care about that, given they didn't care about anything during the whole transaction) I was warned from other people not to use Tecaz from their own experience, but thought buying in person would be easier than buying online should there be any issues.. how wrong i was. Utterly terrible service and a total disregard for the amount of time and money they have cost over what should have been a simple purchase. I will NEVER use this company again and will openly advise others of my experience. Shocking… AVOID!
In Response to Tecaz;
We (collectively) have been fitting bathrooms for over 48 years, so thanks for the useless information, however the tray was like a banana (agreed by your staff) and the finished surface warped badly enough that no matter how much “bedding in” would never leave a suitable level to fit the tiles or cubicle without issues and/or ascetic concerns, however that said, my issue was predominantly the lack of guile in rectification, wasting time, productivity and fuel and not even having the replacement ready a week later (after Tecaz confirmed it) and not even being in store. Maybe change the name from Tecaz to Teflon, as it appears from reading reviews that nothing sticks as its always someone else's fault. Don't keep embarrassing yourselves, accept that you handled a seemingly simple with very poor service, from my experience I’d hazard a guess if your trays are so brilliant maybe its the way you store them. The finished level of a resin acrylic coated tray should never be bowed. Thank you

"First class experience "

My wife and I visited Tecaz in North Shields as a friend had recommended them. We were looking to update our tired bathroom and needed ideas and inspiration. We were amazed by the size of the showroom and the variety of the bathrooms displayed.
After a while browsing, we were approached by Barry who is a Bathroom Designer for the company. After a brief chat about what we were planning, Barry took us round the showroom pointing out several alternatives. He then told us that he would visit our home and take the measurements of our bathroom. Inviting us back into the showroom after putting together a design as a starting point to discuss. We decided to take advantage of this and before long we had decided everything.
Barry was able to put us in contact with a decent fitter to do the job as we didn't know one of our own and wanted one who was reliable.
All the products we delivered on time and we now have a lovely new bathroom. We would have no problem recommending the company and in particular Barry to friends and anyone else for that matter.

"Went to Tecaz in North Shields"

Went to Tecaz in North Shields, I was unsure as to what I wanted to do with the space I have, while upgrading my bathroom. I ended up speaking to someone called Barry who was able to show me various different plans of bathrooms that I could have with the specifics I wanted.
Overall great customer service, good advise with no pressure to make decision there an then. They were able to help me with what I wanted at at the price range I was looking for. Thank you Barry.

"We purchased a full Bathroom Suite from…"

We purchased a full Bathroom Suite from Tecaz in August 2024 ,We had it fitted in September 23rd 2024 however the L Shaped part of the Shower Screen fell off into the bath after only being in use for nearly 9 months.We contacted Tecaz about this and they simply didn't want to know,their Customer Service Complaints Department is non existent. Their emails were very blunt and had a sort of attitude which we picked up on whilst reading them. The Guy we were interacting with basically told us there's nothing they can do about it as it has been used and we must've been forceful while using it.We are still waiting to hear from the Manufacturer but we don't have much faith in what they have to say. When we purchased this we did expect it to last longer than 9 months absolutely appalling the way Tecaz have handled our complaint and something should be done about it.

"Customer Service Manager"

Let me start by saying the on-site staff and Floor Manager were wonderfully helpful in rectifying the mistake with what we’d ordered. They helped us to fix the problem and were a credit to customer service. I have no bad words to say against them.

This review is based on the interactions with the “Customer Service & HR” manager. He was very unhelpful and refused to listen to us as customers. He ignored the points we were making and stuck to his principle of refusing any sort of helpful resolution to a mistake made from an outdated website, old display model and an incorrect item provided. He took no time to verify what we were saying with his staff and held assumptions that we had made a mistake when several facts showed it was not of our making.

Irony abound with “Customer Service” in his job title.

"Never answer the phone!"

Never answer the phone!
I ordered a vanity unit including fitted sink online, arranging for it to be delivered to the North Shields branch, for me to collect.
Very quickly received an email stating that my order "SHOULD" be at the showroom on Friday?
I was therefore expecting another email on the Friday stating that my order was ready to collect ( don't know if Tecaz do this or not? )
No such email, arrived, so was not certain whether my order was ready for collection or not, so decided to phone.
That's where the problem lies:- No one at the North Shields showroom ever answered the phone!
Left messages at the collection department and the main bathroom showroom, but never got a call back from either.
After many calls I simply gave up!!
Its very unprofessional and a total disgrace to treat customers with such disregard!
Had to call the showroom again on Monday 10th to further chase up my order-- This time someone actually answered the phone! ( a miracle ) The girl on the desk looked into my order progress, before telling me it was already in the showroom and ready for me to collect.
However, I had not received any text or email stating this and if I had not called to inquire, I would never have known my order was ready to collect.
I had yet another problem when I called to collect my order.
I went to the collections window and when I gave over my order number, it was apparent that no one recognised the online order number which caused some confusion. They were only able to track down my order details by taking my name and post code.
I was then given two items, one was a very large and heavy box which I took to be my Vanity unit and integral sink. The other item was the tap and waste that I had also ordered.
Unfortunately, I had assumed that the ceramic sink would be included in the large box, which was an error on my part as when I opened it later it only contained the vanity unit. The sink was not there.
I called back next day and picked up the sink, which they had forgotten to give mew the first time I called to pick up my order. If the collections staff had taken the time to fully read the customer order, they would have seen it contained a ceramic sink ( not just a vanity unit ) and perhaps passed me the sink at that time, instead of me having to call back a second time.
All in all, this purchase experience has been very poor from start to finish and I certainly won't be rushing back to Tecaz in the future

"Where to start"

Where to start? We were worried about the reputation that Tecaz has but in all honesty this has not been reflected in our experience. Elaine, our designer/style guru provided invaluable help, guidance and assurance during our bathroom makeover. Communication has been great and straightforward and the service provided by Elaine was excellent over the months it took us to work through our design thoughts. All products were competitively priced and were all delivered on the date and time agreed in perfect condition. The delivery men were excellent and made sure everything was as it should be.
The fitting was undertaken to a very high standard by Lee and Peter. They were polite, professional and courteous at all times. They were both friendly and cheerful which is really important when they were in our home for 7 days. They arrived on time each day and worked without lunch breaks with occasional cups of coffee to keep them going. Our house was treated with respect and the finished bathroom exceeded our expectations and looks amazing. We would have no hesitation recommending Elaine, Lee and Peter to friends and relatives.

"Tecaz North Shields Great Service "

Can highly recommend Tecaz at North Shields from the moment we met Elaine to the day Lee and Peter finished the install of our bathroom I can't fault them.
The service and help from Elaine in the showroom when we first decided to change our bathroom, she was so helpful showing us what worked regarding choosing what would work really helped us decide on what we wanted. She was polite and friendly we never even went to another shop we just decided that she knew what we wanted and we loved the fact she could show us exactly how it would look.
Elaine contacted us at every step of the job regarding delivery install dates and everything went so smoothly. We had two great lads who fitted the bathroom Lee & Peter and I cant fault their workmanship and attention to detail. They were excellent.
Anyone looking for a new bathroom pop in ask for Elaine and you won't be disappointed.
10 out of 10 for customer service and just being so helpful.

From the the very start everything was handled professionally. Michael's design and concept has worked a treat, also his help in choosing all the fittings was invaluable. The two fitters Phil and Norman did a sterling job, and the finish is second to non.
