Eqi was relaunched a year past It is a reliable and efficient share dealing service.
Dividends are credited on the pay date . Fees are reasonable, particularly if you deal more than once a month. For low turnover accounts, the safekeeping fee can seem a bit steep. The computer system works well and downtime are rare

"Website problems"
For the most part I have had no trouble accessing my account online. The website is easy to use and trades easy to implement. However I have had cause to phone customer services on more than one occasion with various minor problems. One such problem was duplicate copies of corporate actions arriving in my inbox. Fortunately this has been remedied. I also had a problem reading some corporate actions. This took some time to fix. Lately all has been well.

"Such an easy platform to use"
Such an easy platform to use. It gives me the ability to trade as and when I want. The mobile app and dashboard is particularly useful.

"The platform is fine for my UK shares"
The platform is fine for my UK shares. There is a problem with my Irish investment. When I held the shares in certificated form I could elect for payment of the dividends gross i.e. without deduction of withholding tax. This facility is not available for holdings in EQi. I think you should warn investors who send you certificates or better still refuse to hold such shares on your platform.

"After 20+ years I'm leaving"
I've had a shares ISA with Equiniti and its predecessor companies for over 20 years. Over the last year I have noticed a decline in the service and I have had to raise 2 formal complaints.
The issues I have faced are:
1. Not being able to save and retrieve updated debit card details
2. Difficulty viewing attachments with corporate action emails
3. An instance where a "fill or kill" order was actioned the day after it expired. Although they did put this right after I brought it to their attention.
4. Very high currency charges for overseas transactions.
5. The last straw - the inability to deliver new Tesla shares following the split. It is now Wednesday 2nd September and they are still not in.
On the plus side, their customer service people answer the phone promptly and are helpful.
As a result of the Tesla fiasco I have lost actual money through not being able to deal. I am sorry Eqi but I have finally given up on you and am moving to another broker.

"Unbelievable"
Unbelievable, they were not ready for the Apple and Tesla share splits yesterday. My stock in apple shares has still not been split and I have been told it might get sorted today or tomorrow!!!!
How can you run a platform that fails to split your shares on two of the largest as best known stocks on the planet? If Apple slides today I shall demand compensation. Degiro, who charge a fraction of EQI's rates, managed it seemlessly.
When I called the agent said - it was a bank holiday. Not on Wall Street! To describe this company as amateurs seems harsh on amateurs.

"The website is clear and easy to use"
The website is clear and easy to use. The information given when researching shares, gives clear insight about the company. The account gives the daily change which is useful to see the way the market is heading. The account also shows the cash profit/loss for each share and the percentage gain/ loss as well as the overall position of the portfolio.

"Four stars"
Four stars - on the plus side, reasonable costs, easy to use, easy to buy international shares and has a great monthly investment scheme to keep dealing costs down and support pound-cost averaging. Logging in over the last six months has been a bit hit and miss - regularly having to log in twice in order to to access my account - getting an 'error' message on the second log in (but easily dealt with by going to the overview screen). I can't be the only person - why doesn't this get sorted?
