"How do they continue to exist?"

Sold all securities and sent the money out to my bank. Terrified that they may steal or loose everything. Told them to close the account.
Just got an email from the 'team' !! ?? Whatever that means! to say I need to send money to them for the fees for keeping the account going.
I'm at a loss to understand how they're still in business... judging from comments both here and reviews of Equiniti how do they continue to exist? Amazing! The most unprofessional company on the planet.

"Appaling customer service"

Appaling customer service. Have been customer for 13 years - using their CTF platform for my daughter. Suddenly, after 13 years, they invented the need to verify bank details despite receiving funds from the same account all these years... They only accept such statements from a specific email, as if the email address somehow changes the content of the bank statement (eg the account holder remains the designated person). Wasted time on resending. More... It takes them up to three days to do this simple check. At the same time they state that you can still fund the account by a debit card while verification is underway, which is not true - the system does not let you. All websites these days have autoverification for debit and credit cards, not Selftrade. This process has now taken a week. If we cannot fund the CTC and miss the annual deadline, we will complain to FCA and also move the account. This substandard platform, which is 10 years behind everybody else, does not deserve our custom. By the way, they also charge £12.50 per trade... a bit steep.
Jidging from a number of reviews with one star, Selftrade is overdue an FCA audit...

"I was unable to access my account all…"

I was unable to access my account all day today. Looking at the reviews below, I can see that this is recurring and has been happening to a lot of people for a while now. Further I totally agree with the experience of other users with the new selftrade website. Its awful and never works properly. Either you cant find a stock easily or the trade doesn't go through or an email doesnt open....the list is endless. The customer service responses to the users frustrations are also just 'text book' stuff as their management doesnt seem to want to fix the issue at the root. I have been a selftrade customer for over 10 years and don't remember having any problem with the old website. So I wonder why they had this bright idea to change it into something worse.

"Yet again the web site is locked up"

Yet again the web site is locked up.
At least half the time I want to log on I can’t.
This is so regular now that it is deeply frustrating.
How can they have such a defective website?

"Have had good service for 7 years"

Have dealt with them for over 7 years with a fairly modest account. Three or four trades a year. Trading is simple, charges are modest (£12 a quarter) even less if you trade, and transferring cash out is painless.
