I find Selftrade to be an easy to use platform with transparent pricing. I am an amateur investor and I find this platform makes it easy for me.

I haven't tried other platforms, but that is because I am happy with this one and so haven't tried anyone else.

Selftrade needs to update according to time. We should be able to see the live price of foreign stock, particularly in the USA listed company.
I hold most of the foreign stock sometime it is very difficult to find out what is the real value of my portfolio because it is not live updated.
I also find some of the Selftrade staffs do not know how to register newly listed American stock.

I manage my investments (and my wife's) online on Selftrade platform.We have a shares portfolio and sell and invest into ISA shares portfolio each year. Trading in shares is easy - you can buy at the current live price, or set a limit and buy at a lower price when the price goes down. All documents, dividend vouchers, contracts, statements are available online.

"View of Selftrade from a user's point of view"

I have used Selftrade for many years and including my wife we have 3 accounts. There have been very few occasions when anything has 'gone wrong'. The service works well and at a competitive cost. Very occasionally perfection isn't achieved but that has been only slightly irritating. For example, sometimes one can't open a secure message immediately on being notified of it. Or, having left a limit order, it wasn't filled even though plenty of trades took place that would lead one to expect it should have been. But in summary, I have been pleased so far and haven't been in any rush to look elsewhere.

The Selftrade platform does all that I require at a reasonable cost. My queries are answered within the stated time, mostly satisfactorily.
Sometimes the values in the portfolios at the end of a day are a bit behind.

The site provides quite satisfactory service. Trading is simple. Pulling down messages is a little cumbersome, with all of the steps to be undertaken. Navigating around the site is still a bit of a challenge, particularly with regard to less repetitive actions, because it remains counter-intuitive in many respects. It would be nice if the portfolio info could include trailing yield and P/E, as well as high/low info, instead of having to hunt for that in the supplementary info. While the supplementary info is certainly helpful, first, the financial info should be presented in reverse chronological order. And the "news" should go back at least a year, maybe longer, rather than just a few months. And it would be good to include info regarding analysts and their recommendations. But, as an overall critique, it works.

I like the website and the ease of trading. The charges are not exorbitant, which is one of the most important factors for me, but they shouldn't go any higher if Selftrade wants to remain competitive. My pet gripe is that there only a mobile phone app for i-phones. Why has one not been produced for those of us who don't want to waste our money so use Android?

I've used this site for over ten years and never had any issue. Easy to buy or sell stocks and to ring up if needs be.
Convenient to have these shares in one place and easy to track them.
