Our external hard drive would not work. I was scared all the pictures and files were lost because it was broken. So I found Proven Data had a high success rate and gave it a try. Turns out everything was recoverable!
I was updated every step of the way with what was happening and what they were going to do. The responses kind of felt automated rather than an actual person actually talking to you, but it was nice talking to the Fearless Support Team.
For my case (mechanical and electronic failure), the price was okay, not the best. I feel I could have paid less if I looked elsewhere.
But overall, very happy with the service and would recommend Proven Data to recover just about anything!

"Great Company"

Even with a corruption in the operating system of my Mac, PD was able to recover most of my lost data. You may think it's pricey, but if you want your data back from a great company, use PD. Hats off to PD.

This is an exceptional company! From the moment I called, anxious and upset, the representative on phone assured me that my external hard drive would be in good hands and was most likely fixable. I even insisted on dropping it off personally because I was too scared to put it in the mail. They gave me constant updates to ease my anxiety and when I received the email indicating that my data had been recovered, they understood how happy and relieved I was. As if that wasn't enough, their in-house recovery was considerably cheaper than the recovery quote of the company that manufactured my external hard drive.

I can't recommend this company enough! They will take care of you.

I found this process impersonal and difficult. Also the external hard drive with my information I haven't been able to open it. I plugged into my new laptop but couldn't open it. I can open another external drive I had but not the one you gave me. Too complicated! Now I have to call you again, and figure out how to download my information. I am delighted you were able to retrieve my information, but I found the process without direct contact with real people difficult. Sorry.

My experience with Proven Data was flawless. When I called in before agreeing to their services, their reps were kind and took the time to explain the process of assessing the damage to my HDD, the possible causes, estimated time it would take to repair, and possible costs. Once I sent over my HDD, they were quick to follow up, offered reasonable pricing, and I really can't find what they didn't recover meaning I really think I got everything recovered!! I have no hesitation in recommended this company to friends and family for data recovery services.
