My advice is DO NOT buy from this company. Firstly, the website masquerades as a UK one, and the prices appear good, but it's a trap - it's based in Belgium, and you will be hit with customs import charges that are not made clear upfront nor at check out (sure, they're in the T&C's but if we all read those, there would be no time left to eat nor love). Second: my lamp eventually arrived smashed into tiny pieces Third: When I asked for a replacement I was told it would be dealt with but it wasn't, I reminded, nothing happened, so in the end, after months, I gave up and got a refund from them on the original fee. They offered no help in retrieving the customs fees, which took me hours of precious time, and in any case the refund on the customs fees via UPS/Gov.uk was not the full amount.

I received a damaged glass ( one of six) and filed a complaint ( with foto's).
It took a while to receive the reply and in the intermediate time I left a bad review.
It was not deserved.
A replacement glass was sent at no cost and my overall experience ultimately was very good!

The lights I ordered from LampTwist were quite expensive and I knew they wouldn't arrive the next day as they were coming from Europe and this can take some weeks. They were delivered by UPS. The ordering and delivery process went well. Despite the fact I'm not a fan of UPS, my local guy is OK. I have given LampTwist 4 stars for the above. However, I hadn't realised that the lower price which attracted me to buy from LampTwist did not include the customs duties. I hadn't noticed when I bought the goods (possibly too starry-eyed in having found the better prices). Then I got the email from UPS asking for money. I thought it was a scam. It wasn't and I ended up paying in the region of £3-400 for my goods ( I'd ordered quite a lot). Needless to say I wrote a scathing review about this experience especially as I could have got all the items elsewhere. Full marks to LampTwist for engaging with me about this. I made the points that their website looks too like a British one so it's easy not to notice that one may incur additional customs charges. I pointed out to them that other European companies include these costs in their prices - which is why they are more expensive. LampTwist has assured me that it will make it much much clearer which items will incur customs charges. However, my advice to them is put your prices up and include them on the website when we buy. Perhaps also: LampTwist needs to note that not all UPS delivery people have card machines. Mine didn't. It was very fortunate that for once in my life I had cash for which he gave me a receipt. For the future I'd suggest that LampTwist needs to work out what is best for their market in the UK and give due consideration to how they price their goods coming from Europe. Full marks however to them for engaging with me and taking the time to explain their approach, listen to my comments and suggestions. Let's hope they get it right in the future as I see I'm not the only person to complain about unforeseen customs charges.
