""FINAL NOTICE""
The US Home Guard sent us a "FINAL NOTICE" letter stating that our home warranty was about to expire. The letter gave the impression of urgency and threateningly stated an "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE WAS REQUESTED" and we were to "CALL IMMEDIATELY" or we would be "at risk of being financially liable" for all repairs. Please discontinue sending these overly dramatic notices or I will be forced to report it to the BBB.

So I just got a taste of this home warranty company. The representative is not friendly, thought when I bought the contract the agent I spoke to when signing up did say to repair/replace too. Stupid not to read the contract only to find out the representative said it was repair only. Will be canceling pretty soon. So over with this company.

Getting the service was great and fast, the guy was supper nice on the phone.
Cancelling the service? NOT so much.
The guy I spoke to on the phone was NOT professional at all.
He's name is Matt, keep asking me why would I cancel the service and I told him I was moving, then he want me to give him the detail of when, where, and why moving, am I selling the house etc. Which made me very uncomfortable cause I consider this as personal and also there is no reason for me to tell him the details, all he needs to know is I'm moving and I want the services canceled.
Matt than told me he has paper work to fill out and needs to know the reasons, I told him I just gave him the reason - I'm moving.
I also told him I have the right to not to tell him about my personal life and I have the right to cancel any service I don't want. Matt didn't stop asking, seems like he just really wants to know.
I asked if this was necessary and if I refuse to answer does that mean I can not cancel the service, Matt says no but he kept asking.
We spend some time going back and forth and the service was finally canceled.
So later I talked with Matt's supervisor, I'm just simply confused on WHY would a customer serves wants go get to the bottom of the reason of canceling. If someone says they WANT to cancel, they JUST want it canceled, doesn't matter what the reason is (and also sometimes the reason can be personal and they absolutely have the right of not to tell you anything, no LAW states service in US cannot be canceled without a reason), it's not rocket science.
And the supervisor's answer SHOCKED me: he told me they intentionally train them like this, to KEEP ASKING and get to the bottom of why a customer would cancel. EVEN IF the customer don't want to tell you.

The claims department is rude and lack empathy. Please choose another company. The customer service is non existent. I filed a claim 3 weeks ago for an Ice Maker. They chose a Vendor that is unresponsive and does not have the ability to fix the problem. I asked them to dispatch another vendor and was advised that because they authorized the repair (2 weeks later, after I paid $100) that they could not.

It started out very well only to find out when I called it is difficult since no one answered the phone finally ended up calling some one local to help me with my air conditioning I hope that I do not have to try to contact you again hopefully my ac and other appliances do not break or the plumbing

Worst experience ever. I have 2 to 3 months waiting for reimbursement check. Not worth the cost, horrible customer service, nothing but run around with their agents. Can't wait to cancel services and look for a better warranty company who is worth my money and time.
