I ordered a step for Jeep so my old dog would have an easier time getting in and out. Backcountry Racks had the best price, so I ordered. They let me know that the item was backordered, and they checked with other warehouses to see if they could find it in stock, but were unable to do so. They asked if I wanted to wait or have a refund. I needed the item quickly, so I chose refund, which they immediately processed. I ended up purchasing the item through another venue for $45 more. I would have definitely waited if I had the time!
The customer service and communication were wonderful, especially in a situation that could have been very negative. I will most definitely browse their online catalog to find something to purchase.

"Love my Inno Kayak Assist Bar"
I received my Inno Kayak Lifter Load Assist Bar on time and am happy to recommend BackcountryRacks to my kayaking friends. It was easy to use UPS package tracking to know when it would arrive. The Assist Bar makes loading my kayak much easier, especially after a long day of playing on the river.

"Terrible Customer Service"
I ordered an Inno cargo box. I received the box and the exterior packaging was intact but the top of the box was scratched and gouged in two places. I emailed photos that day and then a few days later emailed asking for a response and they emailed 10 days later. I emailed a response and then emailed again - they responded 6 days later. Their response was that Inno told them I could use a sharpie or black shoe polish and offered me 25$. They also told me "that they valued their time and have invested as much in this transaction as you have".
Great box - horrible customer service and I will never buy from them again.

I made my order. It said that it was in stock. You took my money. Then I waited 4 days and it didn't ship even though it said that it would ship in 24 hours. I contacted costumer's service only to figure nd out that you didn't have it is n stock and that it would not be back in stock until May. You cancelled my order but took another week to refund me my money.

Used this site because it said it offered 24-48 hour delivery but then got messaged a couple weeks later saying that the item I ordered is back-ordered until next month. I wouldn’t have ordered on this site had I known it was going to take that long. Maybe should try making it known that it’s back-ordered in the first place instead of me waiting for the bad news.
