I recently purchased a Kia Sportage from Shelly Motors. The process was relatively straight-forward, although I was less impressed by Kia finance processes. The entire experience was brightened by Chris Hollands, who was incredibly accommodating and kept us up to date along the way. Chris was professional, knowledgable and went out of his way to ensure that our experience was a pleasant one.

Second time my vehicle has been in and they have failed to correct the problem - they are fine on oil changed but anything complicated, forget it they dont have the staff with adequate training. Had an electrical fault on a KIA and was told to go to an auto electrician?? thought they had at least one on their staff.

Went in for a test drive of an EV9, booked vis the KIA website, and after being well greeted and told I’d be driving a 7-seater parked just outside, the sales person said he needed to speak to his managing director. This after I mentioned I would get my next car via my company’s car scheme. When this person came back, they said the car unfortunately was being picked by another client that was going to test the vehicle, and there were no others left, clearly lying. I asked if they realised they were the face of KIA in that moment, and that did not represent “unwavering“ customer service. I got the repetition of the same message. Clearly there’s incentives to treat only the customers who have already come in ready to buy well, while everyone KIA should be trying to convince will not even be given the time of day. Poor sales approach and clearly poor management. Highly disrespectful to send potential clients away of a 75k car. I wonder if this is what KIA has in mind when they trust their brand to shelly Motors.
