"Avoid monthly service plan"

Have been using car service and MOT for years and also was on their monthly service plan. That's fine. When needed to renew it, told them that not to renew it since I was planning to sell out my car due to ULEZ but I was assured that the plan shall be refunded in that case. When the car was sold out, contacted them to cancel the plan and to get a refund. The sales staff acknowledged that T&C was not clear about cancellation and fees around it and said that would raise with the manager. Well, just took a month while having numerous emails and calls and then was told eventually that no full refund and there was admin fee and etc. Paid £105.88 and got £32.08 back for nothing. Well, spend time to write a review here because hope others not to have the same.

"Customer care, what care?"

Bought a brand new Kia Niro EV at over 40k. Have had the car two and a half years with 5k miles yes thats right 5k miles, with full service history too. I was thinking of going down a size so asked about a PX, I was offered 20k, less than half of what I paid against a brand new smaller Kia EV, you can guess my reaction, even We Buy Any Car offered me more and no PX!
Then a few weeks later Kia said that my car needed a product enhancement, recall in other words! Shelly motors do not offer a collection service for recalls! I approached the manager of Shellys Epsom and his reply was that it wasn't cost effective, my reply "Surely buying a car from you should include anything that is under warranty"? I also said that it wouldn't encourage anyone to buy another Kia car, his reaction was to flippantly raise his arms as if to say "Tough"!
So much for keeping customers happy and loyal! WOULD I BUY ANOTHER KIA ... WOULD I #!@% ?!!

"Finally The motor ombudsman has…"

Finally The motor ombudsman has confirmed that Shelly motors have carried out the repair of my window screen ,to the best of their ability. If the following is "the best of their ability " then please do yourself a massive favour and DO NOT BUY from this KIa dealership. WE are just about to purchase 2no Kia Ceeds and will not even consider Shelly Mottors as it took them 2.5 months to replace my window screen. Failed to communicate and requested that I put the replacement on my own insurance. The damage occured prior to me being the legal owner??
Stear clear of this dealership unless you like poor customer service and agravation.

"Quick to take money but aftercare is shocking!!!!!!!!"

They take your money happily … but they don’t provide you with the extras you pay for. DiamondBrite hasn’t been applied, still not received confirmation they are owners of my part ex but quick to receive confirmation I own the new vehicle! Since having the car we have found nothing but faults & no one responds to get it sorted. The aftercare is shocking!!!

"Appalling service never go to Shelly motors"

Appalling service car went in 3 times for repair and came back with the same problem ,left 4 messages for the service manager to call me ,no return calls .
Took car to another garage who identified the problem immediately
I would never go back to Shelly motors nor would I recommend them to anyone I am about to buy 2 new Kia cars but will go elsewhere

"My initial experience of purchasing the…"

My initial experience of purchasing the car from Shelly was pretty good. I'm still not convinced however that they had serviced the car before I collected it because I had to raise this issue before the handbook came back miraculously and instantaneously stamped. Since then though the service has been pretty awful. I arranged for my car to go into the service department in response to a safety recall. When I turned up at the agreed (and email confirmed) time and date for the work to be completed I was told that they hadn't yet ordered the part. They said that somebody had tried to call me to stop me making an unnecessary journey but its easy to disprove that nowadays on a mobile phone. They hadn't. A couple of weeks ago my front passenger door handle just fell apart in my hands. I contacted Shelly who asked me to send photo's of the handle which I did from every angle. I then got a phone call to arrange for a new handle to be fitted. I was told that the parts would be in on the 1st October and that it would take a few days for it to be painted off site. So a date of the 5th of October was agreed. I pitched up on the 5th October to be told that they would need further parts in addition to the cap - and then it would have to be painted. The cap (the only part they may have ordered) falling off was only a small part of the problem as the photo's clearly showed so again I've had to re-book for the 22nd of October. In the mean time nobody can use the front passenger seat. Nobody apologised. There seems to be a complete shambolic disconnect between the admin team and the service department. I have absolutely no faith that the work will be completed when I return on the 22nd.

Just completed the purchase of a nearly new Kia Stonic. Was very impressed by the salesperson I dealt with (Chris) and would definitely look to use Shelly Motors in the future.

"Awful company"

Do not buy a car from here awful company and even worse customer care!
Bought my car in November errors started in March it went back to them twice on the second occasion they had it for 29 days then gave it back to me a week later same errors appeared! 3 times they have given me back a faulty car for me and my children to drive around in!
They don’t respond to calls or emails even when it’s a complaint. Don’t waste your time or money here!

"Awful as usual"

Awful. Not booked in even though I'd had email confirmation. Despite having a while you wait booking just to change brake pads, they couldn't do it quickly as they were all just going to go to lunch. Can't thi k of any other service industry where a customer who had proof of a booking would be made to wait like that and staff wouldn't just take lunch a bit later. 3 hours for a while you wait appointment to change brake pads. No apology. Then on handing back the car, the brake warning light was on and hadn't been checked so had to wait for further investigation. Nearly 4 hours of my time wasted.
