"Missing wheel nuts!!!"
My second hand Ceed from Shelly Motors just blew a tyre and I have had to call my breakdown cover. I’m very upset to find there are no wheel nuts in the wheel nut box! It’s now Saturday afternoon and the Shelly Motors service department have gone home and cannot help locate wheel nuts. Breakdown repair cannot replace the tyre. So, the car is stuck. Imagine if I was on my own at night in the middle of nowhere? Luckily I’m not.
Shelly Motors tell me that the car passed its health check when it was sold to me and that means it had wheel nuts. Obviously not!!!
I can’t drive, can’t change the wheel and have no idea how this will be resolved. (Incidentally, the cruise control doesn’t work either.)
You CANNOT rely on the health check claims of second cars bought here. Be VERY cautious.
I very much hope on Monday that they will acknowledge their error and culpability, compensate me for extra towing and loss of earnings and replace the wheel nuts! I will report what happens next…

Genuinely have to say this was the best car buying experience I have had. New Niro EV purchased without feeling pressured, took a few days to decide and wasn’t hassled at all. Definitely would recommend Shelly Motors and if you really want looking after ask for Tommy.
