This company took £75 pound from my account on the promise of a consultation I did not receive a call the refusal to recognise the error and return my money they emailed me to state I was at fault for not having the agreed consultation the same consultation they didn't ring and complete and refused to. Refund my money I contacted the police who referred this company to the online criminal justice Do not use this company they're con artist I have investigated the company and have 15 other people who have lost money to these con artist beware and avoid

"Withholding £75 refund"
I contacted The Slimming Clinic (TSC) as I had previously done, just over a year past, being a returning client. I spoke to a very pleasant woman who I spoke to in great depth about the process and how it works now as they now require a £75 deposit. I called back a couple of days later again with questions, as I was still unsure of the process this time. I was told there would be approx 3 phone calls to various people before I would get my Phentermine prescribed to myself, the length of the process was what was putting me off. I asked, a few times if I wished to not move forward would I receive my money back to which I was told yes! Implying there was no tie in. This assured me so I went ahead and paid my money. Once this £75 was paid and we continued our conversation then was I told I would only receive my refund if the Dr deemed me unsuitable for the medication. I then awaited my call which I took but during this was told I would need to go along to see a Dr to get a medical but this facility was only open on a Tuesday which was impossible for me to attend for at least 4 weeks! This time scale was just ridiculous so therefore I requested a refund to which I was told no.......I asked to speak to someone and she said she ‘was the one’. They did offer me other medication which I was on previously and didnt work, without having to go for a medical. I have since emailed a woman called Fatima, who is basically saying Im wouldn't be getting a refund and should I need any help in the future to Please get in touch! To date they haven't returned any emails I have send, yet continue to send me advertising emails!! So currently they are sitting with my £75, not communicating at all which has forced me to seek advice from the General Medical Board regarding their practice! Absolutely shocking and disappointed with the service and duration this time. So much better in the clinic all at the one time without endless phone calls and time wasting!! Mary Thomson

In answer to TSC reply:- in regards to you always replying to emails I have went back and checked and, apart from my initial enquire emails, I sent 6 of which you replied to 2!! I can if you wish post these to verify if required. The second, the last, was very dismissive and clearly stated that I would NOT be getting a refund of £75 from you. You clearly did NOT reply to EVERY email as you have stated!
After contacting the General Medical Board, who are currently looking into this for me, plus posting a review on here stating my actions as I had no resolve nor communication I received a lovely email from a girl named Ellie who informed me that I now WILL be getting a FULL refund of £75 as a goodwill gesture! Which I received yesterday.
There was no “miscommunication” as you have stated in regards to what I was looking for and the process in which this would take. I did ask repeatedly, and clearly about a refund should I wish to not proceed. But please feel free to post on here or send to me to review if you refute this!
Sad to say that it had to go to the GMB to force a refund which ethically shouldn't haven't been taken in the first place. Please be aware and if any similar concerns don’t hesitate to contact them too. Disappointed in this new process of theirs. Also find it strange on here that you cannot reply to to a reply from the company and have to edit the original review.
