"Went for the first time on 15th April…"

Went for the first time on 15th April was greeted by a friendly member of staff, then saw a doctor who explained everything to me in detail, everything went smoothly and I left feeling satisfied with the consultation ☺

"Started first week and the following…"

Started first week and the following week I got call day before my appointment saying cancelled as no doctor available . Felt doctor was blaming it was your fault for getting fat as not eating correctly or right times . Receptionist was lovely and very welcoming .

"Poor service"

I booked 5weeks prior to my appointment and spoke to a lady to do this. She was very polite . The closest clinic was Sheffield but still 1hr 15 mins drive .

I arrive to my appointment in a over crowded waiting room with people just taking it in turns to be seen as opposed to sticking to appt times . It had the feeling of a cattle market in out really quick .
My turn , I walk in , sit down and I’m asked two questions , how did you hear about us and what medication do you currently take . I mention I take anti depressants and it’s a straight no I can’t help anyone who takes them and escorted out . No sincere care or way forward .
Why is there not a screener question when you make the appointment or an email ? I wasted all that time driving there and back not to mention getting my hopes up that I may receive help with my weight gain due to my underactive thyroid .
I actually broke down outside the clinic which is unlike me

With the help and support they have given me I am well on my way to a slimmer healthier happier person.

"So far so good"

So far so good! I’ve lost 5lb in a week on the weaker dose. The lady doctor was lovely and very helpful. She wanted me to be broken in gently to make sure I was feeling ok during the process. I’m now on week two with the higher dose and I still feel fine. The only side effect I’ve experienced is dry mouth. But that means I have to drink more water which is obviously good for you! So great!

"Not the best experience"

Not the best experience. No consistency of doctors, and no dietary advice given whatsoever
- just a quick weigh / measure and pills dished out. Despite exercise and following a low cal diet, after 6 weeks with very little difference (weight and waist measure up and down) the receptionist was surprised I’d been kept on ‘such a low dose’. Shouldn’t the doctor have questioned that?!
