"JustFix - Just the Ticket!"
So pleased to find JustFix.
We had an issue with a gas boiler that was only just two years old and they came out promptly to fix it.
It’s a very simple app to use.
Register. Find the service you need. Tell them the problem. Upload a picture of the boiler and tell them what dates work for you, and they do the rest.
The contractor arrived when he said he would, kept us updated throughout his visit, and completed the work in good time. And it’s guaranteed.
We’ve recommended them to friends and will definitely use them again for any future maintenance work.

"Charged for full visit without FIX in place"
Be careful of the company as there is good and bad. Good news is they are quick and the technician showed up very quickly, easy chat option via WhatsApp, quick responses. We had issue with a 2.5 year old gas hob and the technician who visited were not able to fix it. The notes shared to me are as below -
"2h, no materials
Report: Checked the power supply to see if it has sufficient power, checked the spur switch and it had sufficient power, checked/tester electrodes. They all were fine, no breakages, no oil build up. Removed all five controlling knobs and surrounding seals for any water damage or oil/heat. Checked all the switches and testet gas controls and everything was ok. The only problem suspected is the pcb which only AEG can change/repair. I called AEG spoke to them and I told them about the problem and asked them for a reset/fix and they told me that the buyer can arrange with them for AEG to carry out more detailed diagnostics.
Arrived at the property at 13:18, and left 14:56 ."
Justfix wanted to charge me for 2 hours. I got in touch via WhatsApp and requested to revisit this as the issue has not been solved. The technician spent a good amount of time talking to many others trying to understand what is wrong and as mentioned above, he also called AEG - all of it with good intentions, but as a customer, the issue wasn’t fixed. As goodwill Simon - customer care person on WhatsApp - reduced the £110 per hour rate to £95 per hour. So the total will be £190 plus VAT.
I requested the company to revisit the policy of charging full amount without solving the issue and requested to only charge me a call charge of £90-100 which is the industry normal if the issue is fixed, because now, I still to call AEG to arrange a fix and that is further expenses for me.
Simon was insistent that this is not the case and I agreed to T&C when I accepted the appointment. Justfix website terms states that "In the unlikely event that a Just Fix doesn’t solve the problem we will work with you to put it right.". This is purposely kept vague to entertain these sort of scenarios.
End of the day, I don’t know if the engineer was skilled or not. What I am left with is an expense of £228 inc VAT and the same broken HOB as before. Be careful and ensure you get the details sorted before you provide CC details.
Very weirdly they also don’t have any online review presence and for a startup to have low online/review presence is concerning.
Update - AEG enginner fixed the issue in 15 mins. It wasnt a PCB fault. It was a small food element stuck in the burner knobs causing the issue. Updating here as a reply from justfix confirming the skill of the engineer when in reality, I still question the skill of the engineer used and the inability of the company to accept my request and meet in the middle.
