"Poor customer service"

The dissatisfaction with the service I received regarding my recent order of a dressing table and stool,is unacceptable. It was purchased as a gift for my partner. Despite repeated attempts to resolve this matter through email exchanges, the responses have been limited to scripted apologies and no tangible solutions.

After an unreasonable series of delays in the delivery, I opted to request a refund. However, it has now been ten days since the request was made, and despite your company’s efficiency in processing payments, my refund remains outstanding. I find this to be unacceptable.

Moreover, I have noticed a concerning trend regarding customer feedback on your platform. While positive reviews receive prompt responses, there appears to be a lack of engagement with negative feedback, which reflects poorly on your company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

If I do not receive my refund by the end of next week, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to the Ombudsman. I hope for a swift resolution to avoid further action

"Great quality occasional side table"

Great piece of furniture. I was particularly looking for a stack of books side table and this fits the bill perfectly. Lovely piece, real wood and well made and sturdy. Just what I wanted. Also a good price.

"Smells of stale cigarettes "

Paid £950 for a bed in early January… date of delivery got delayed 4 times until we finally received delivery April.
Bed itself is of good quality and strong but it turned up with a god awful smell!!! It stinks of stale cigarette smoke and the smell is still lingering now despite being washed and sprayed with fabreze … really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend..

"Extremely poor customer service & Homesdirect365 business standard, ethics "

I’ve always been someone who naturally looks for the best in everything — that’s just my nature. And especially when it comes to writing a review, I believe it should be done thoughtfully and with care, as it concerns people and their businesses, which provide their livelihood.

I placed my order for several pieces of furniture on December 11th, 2024. I understand that HomesDirect365 advises customers that the order can take up to 16 weeks, but here I am — it’s now April 17th, 2025 — and I’m still waiting and struggling to receive my furniture.

Just today, I received yet another email from their sales team with an update, informing me that my order is now expected to arrive on May 14th, 2025 — meaning yet another delay.
Similar to many previous times calls to HomesDirect365, I asked why the date had changed again, especially since I was emailed only last week that delivery was scheduled for May 6th, 2025. Given the already significant delays, it was incredibly frustrating to hear the same repeated apology: “I’m so, so sorry” — a line I’ve heard countless times from them every time I’ve called.

To make matters worse, back in March 2025, one of the wardrobes was delivered — but it couldn’t even be assembled properly due to poor quality and serious alignment issues, many calls had to be made, back n forth, then I was told I had to dismantle and boxed it up again before it can be collected, which caused more disruption and inconvenience, and the difficulty in boxing heavy item as well make availability, wait around for the delivery men to collect it.

I am living off box and bags without having the furniture in my room, and I didn’t have the financial means to buy alternative furniture, seeing the state of my bedroom, it’s mentally depressing!

What shocked me even more was seeing the heavy wardrobe boxes being carried by just one man. He was clearly a very hardworking individual, but it saddened me to witness him lifting such a dangerous load without any assistance which can cause life long injuries — a clear health and safety concern. I suffer from lifelong injuries to my hand, and even I struggled to help him as I couldn’t watch him doing it alone.

In my honest and sincere opinion: if you are considering ordering furniture from this company, please think twice. Based on my experience, it’s simply not worth the money. The company is unreliable, and unfortunately, the quality of the furniture does not meet expectations.

I am at risk of many thousands of pound I spent on my furniture with Homesdirect365.

"Great mirror at a good price"

Great mirror at a good price. Only negative was time to delivery for what was an ‘in stock’ item.
Delivery service also needs sharpening up as these days being given a 12hour (7-7) window until phoned by driver 1hour before delivery is out of touch with modern customer expectations.
