"Please AVOID no matter what."
I bought a controller for my ps4 via the website. Paid using my credit card. The payment was processed straight away and next day I recived an email saying that my order has been confirmed. Since then I haven't recived my controller at all, status of order still says confirmed, no email to confirm that parcel has been dispatched.
The worst part is that I've been trying to contact them via email but without success as they don't reply AT ALL.
When I try to contact them on the phone all I get is an automated message saying that "No support agent is currently available to take your call..." or "Please wait while we transfer you to the next available support agent" and after 5minutes of waiting and listening to the music it comes up with "No support agent is currently available...".
This is a complete disgrace. Never had to deal with such unprofessional and incompetent company. Now when I want to cancel my order there is absolutely no way to do it and I have no idea how to get my money back. I'm stuck with no controller and no money.
Never expetcet to get involved in something like this in 21st centruy where customers are usually treated with respect and care.

"Terrible service."
I sent a game in using the trade-in scheme, I used the prepaid envelope that was provided I sent it on the 12th July about 17 days ago and it still hasn't arrived at their warehouse. I am not happy, especially after already being charged well in advanced, after this purchase I doubt I will ever be shopping at gamestop again.

Like a lot of others. I flocked to the deal for the remastered 'Last of us' game on PS4 as it was £7-8 cheaper than anywhere else.
On their website it says they take payment on dispatch (The game is out on the 1st august so it should have been a few days before then) however on the 23rd July they request the money from my bank account not once, not twice but FIVE times meaning about £150 was pending on my bank account.
I e-mailed them straight away and 6 days later still have no reply.
Avoid at all costs.

My review comes from an awful experience using GameStop UK. They have a very good price for The Last Of Us on the PS4 and I automatically assumed they was trustworthy given that they are a big chain.
The customer service is non-existing; you are just given an email address, [email protected], and all I wanted to do was cancel my preorder. I decided to cancel it after reading the reviews from this web site that they did not get their preorders in time and had problems with getting in touch with them so decided to cancel the preorder.
To cancel orders, you must email [email protected], and I sent an email over 7 days ago and still awaiting an response to cancel my order. There's no telephone number on their web site so decided to google their offices and they don't pick up the telephone.
I have had to resort to cancelling my credit card so they cannot take my money. I would never use them again and even sent an email to their CEO on LinkedIn asking him to cancel my order.
I strongly recommend to avoid even if it is tempting as they have some good prices (like their PS4) as you will have problems when you need to get in touch with them.

I ordered an xbox one bundle as it was a good price, this is where the good things about GameStop stop!!
I ordered on a Thursday for a present to be given a week the following Sunday. PayPal payment went through quickly and assumed as the website states all orders over £150 have free express delivery that it would arrive by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. On checking the status on Monday it only said confirmed. I sent 2 emails asking about the status and when I could expect delivery, when I had no response from these I sent 2 tweets, again with no response. Tried phoning the number to be met with an answer machine and no call back came when details left!
Finally by the Thursday I had enough and was worried about my order not arriving on time so I emailed to cancel the order, stating if it wasn't dealt with quickly then I would be seeking advice from trading standards! Lo and behold a reply came within 30 minutes apologising for the delay and stating it was due to a game in the bundle being out of stock (even though website states it's in stock)! They offered to send what they had in stock by express delivery now or go ahead with cancellation. I did not believe that I would receive anything on time going by what had happened so cancelled and re-ordered through amazon for guaranteed delivery by the date I required. The refund was processed very quickly to be fair!
Absolutely awful customer service, a quick email explaining the situation wouldn't have been difficult or a quick reply to my many attempts at communication!
I will definitely not use them again!

"Reviews freaked me out!"
After ordering a xbox one from this company because of the price package I later found this site and felt sick, I had spent £399.00 of my sons hard saved cash on this and by the reviews the likely hood of it arriving without fuss was very low. I felt physically sick when I read the reviews and apologised to my son for not checking them out first. I am still waiting for my email to say it's left the warehouse, actually have just checked my inbox as I type this and it has just arrived. but then again The Xbox one ARRIVED before the email, ordered on Wednesday, delivered on Friday. Yes this company has been slated but am pleased to say that there are absolutely no issues here.

Possibly the worst (or most non-existent) customer service I have ever had!!
Just over a month ago I put down an order for a PS4 console at Gamestop, due to the price being the best around.
£329 seemed like a good deal, and I understood it was a 'waiting list', so didn't mind hanging on a bit... A month goes past and my order is still marked as 'confirmed', but I've heard absolutely nothing. A few weeks ago I notice on their website that the consoles are 'back in stock'. As you'd expect, I was a bit confused to why I was still on the list, if they're actually in stock and ready to dispatch. I was curious, so I went into the contact section of their website. They suggest you email '[email protected]', so I whack off an email enquiring about my order.
..Nine days later, still heard nothing. I resort to sending a 'tweet', and it seems quite blatant that they are very selective about who they reply to. Still nothin'....
Every time you send these jokers an email, you are put in some kind of waiting list just to get a bloody response.
I decided to cancel the order, as I was getting sick of waiting for a console which is in stock everywhere else (finally), but I imagine, due to the cheaper price at Gamestop, people are flocking here. The non-existent customer service however, leaves a rather sour taste in my mouth...... Hmmmm, hang on, where's the cancel button? ....Ahhhh that's right, I have to send an email AGAIN to these cretins with my order details. So I have to get shoved into another waiting list just to get a response to cancel an order/preorder? really????!!! ....Absolutely appalling! ...I still haven't heard back, so I'm getting rather frustrated!
I wouldn't usually vent, by writing a piss poor (slightly clunky-written) review, displaying my anger... But this time I will make an exception! :)
....oh I almost forgot, there IS a phone number though.. Phew!! That's a relief right?
...Ohh right, every time I try it, it diverts to some american-voiced answer phone message... Jesus christ, all I want to do is cancel an order! The first and LAST time I use this joke of a service.
I ordered it off Amazon in the end for 20 quid more, but it came the next day. I always get fantastic service with Amazon, and the customer service is spot on! But I've still got this irritating 'confirmed' order from Gamestop and zero communication.
I really should have read these reviews before even thinking about making a purchase at Gamestop... "Scum, Sub Human Scum" :)

Absolutely pitiful, next to no customer service and a non-existent phone number. My order took aeons to dispatch and I still haven't received it. DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS!!!

"Worst customer service I have ever experienced."
Stay well away from ever doing business with this company, never in my life have I received such a poor online shopping experience.
I ordered 9 Disney Infinity Figurines from them to take advantage of their buy 2, get one free deal only to this very day I have yet to receive any acknowledgement whatsoever that they have shipped or even bothered to process my order. They've had no problem charging my debit card for the transaction but to this day have not shipped the items I ordered from them.
It's been an entire months and I can't get in contact with them in any way whatsoever over the issue. They've ignored every single attempt I've made to reach their customer service within an entire month, don't answer their emails, calls and barely respond to any complaints received through social media.
This isn't just a one off situation I'm involved in however which is why I'm writing this review. If you go through their forums or through sites like Twitter you can see nothing but a sea of complaints from angry customers like myself who have had to wait entire months for their products with no response from the unprofessional and unhelpful staff and when those people do finally get seen to, they were all given instant refunds after more than a month of waiting for their products without even giving them the option or offering any explanation whatsoever as to why they were unable to ship them their products or if they even bothered to attempt to.
This is just one of the many problems with this company, it's widely known that Gamestop repackage used games and sell them labeled as new.
It's an absolute marvel why they haven't been taken to court with lawsuits more often or have been shut down completely over the way they run their business.
Take my advice, even if you see a good deal, stay clear of these criminals and stick with a retailer you can trust.
Why this place is even allowed to continue business is beyond me.
