"Poor communication, technical issues, policy errors"

I followed instructions on the website to apply for life insurance to cover our new house. I then followed instructions to apply for critical illness cover. The policies each covered myself and my wife.

My first concern was that the online registration was down for around a week, so I could not access key documents approaching the purchase of my new home.

Once I gained access, it only displayed our life insurance cover. I sent a message asking for both policies to be on my account.

When both policies were available, it only showed my wife's name on the portal. I sent another message asking why this is and to clarify that both myself and my wife would be covered.

Three weeks later I get a reply. The message contained spelling mistakes and did not explain whether we were both covered. I stead the message said neither myself or my wife had critical illness cover!

This company is a shambles and frankly, I am appalled at the communication, lack of clarity, and the technical errors on the system.

"Discriminatory practices against people…"

Discriminatory practices against people who take care of their mental health.

If you have suffered from even mild problems.that don't impact your life, because you manage them well, this company will not cover you.

Responding to reply: yes, you absolutely do discriminate based on mental health. Despite the fact that I am stable in all aspects of my life, I am unable to get life Insurance coverage specifically because I got treatment for my PMDD in September. Your company considers me 'mentally unstable' due to this and will now not cover me for a year. That's your policy. It is harmful and punishes people who do the right thing and look after their health.

I have written an email to them about this. If they decide to be fair and reasonable I will change this review and recommend them to everyone.

As it is, I cannot recommend a company that treats people doing everything right this badly.

"A+ Customer Service from Abdul"

Received a call to check I was happy with my policy and if any issues. I had some issues accessing my online log in to view the policy documents however Abdul was really helpful and patient in getting me logged in in no time. This is my first correspondence with Beagle Street since taking out the policy online and I'm very happy I have chosen to use their services due to the exceptional service.

"Call center worker went off on political tangent"

I got a quote for life insurance ahead of buying my first house. Owing to a bug on the website I called up Beagle Street on Aug 1st to continue the application. Despite my application reading "Miss" she kept pointedly calling me "Mr" and incorrectly claiming she had to. Her behaviour was both rude and violated the Equality Act. I did not expect someone from Beagle Street to be so poorly trained or behaved. I meant to write a complaint at the time but I was busy completing paperwork for the house. I completed an application LV= instead with no issues at all.

"Charlotte was brilliant ! "

Charlotte was brilliant in helping me set up a new direct debit, changing my address etc.

Compared to other companies that I have dealt with recently, Charlotte was a breath of fresh air, and is a credit to not only Beagle Street, but also herself.

"Doesn't respond to emails"

I email asking for cancellation and my email just goes unanswered for a week which I responded to the same day and this has then went unactioned for over a month, I've now been billed two times after I have gave notice that I want to cancel my insurance because they cannot take action against what should be a simple request to cancel my policy

Now sitting almost 10 minutes waiting for call to be answered which I should not have to make in the first place as I have given everything you need to cancel my policy over a MONTH AGO

edit: spoke to abdul on phone who is hopefully going to progress he was very kind but extremely frustrating experience because of complete lack of communication, hopefully something can be done now

edit2: rectified the next day at least after calling and was refunded so really the best resolution i could have hoped for after initial miserable experience. do appreciate and felt service was excellent after i called and raised a complaint.

"Abdul was A+"

Had some unplanned expenditures and had to cancel my policy a month into it. I can say that this process was simple and very easy/quick. Abdul was efficient and lovely to deal with as I only had a small amount of time to organise. Would probably go back when I am able to.
