"I have been with Splend for more than 2…"

I have been with Splend for more than 2 years.
Unfortunately I cannot write a good review for this company. My licence was suspended for 3 months while riding a scooter. I called Splend to ask if my weekly payment ($409)for the rent to own contract could be put on hold because cannot drive for Uber therefore I have no income. The response was: keep paying or return the car (had to give 4 weeks notice if decided to return the car)
By this stage I’ve paid almost ten thousand dollars towards the car.
Then i asked if i could have 2 weeks holiday ( as per contract) just a little help until i can drive again, their response was: cannot approve the 2 weeks holiday pay because the “crash probability score” shows NIL(-/15) that is because I haven’t been driving for the last 5 weeks. Splend not caring at all about my unfortunate situation made an assumption that my score is above 9 refusing to grant me 2 weeks holiday, and the response again was: keep paying or return the car.
This is SPLEND for you.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Company

I had an awful experience with this company. They falsely charged me for damages that were on another car when. When I questioned the charge, they showed me “proof” of the damage, but the photos were of a completely different car! After I chased them for weeks to get a refund, they suddenly “found” damage on a car of the same color I had.

This feels like a blatant scam to avoid giving me back my money. Their customer service has been unhelpful, and the entire process has been frustrating and dishonest. I would not recommend this company to

Unreasonable Payment Holiday Denial and Poor Contract Transparency

I am writing to share my disappointing experience with Splend regarding their refusal to honor a payment holiday, despite meeting the stated contractual conditions. According to my lease agreement, I am entitled to a payment holiday as long as my score is below 9. I have consistently maintained a score below the threshold. However, my request was denied because Splend introduced an additional condition, requiring a “4-week average score” below 9 — a requirement that is not mentioned in my contract.

Despite reaching out for clarification, Splend’s customer service has failed to provide any formal documentation that justifies this additional condition. They have simply refused my payment holiday without clear grounds. I find this lack of transparency and disregard for their own contract terms extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

I advise potential customers to carefully scrutinize any agreement they enter into with Splend, as they appear to apply arbitrary conditions outside of the contractual terms. This situation has caused unnecessary stress, and I will be escalating my complaint to NSW Fair Trading and considering further legal action if this matter is not resolved.

Staff are unreasonable and rude. They can mislead and bully you in what they want if you don’t know the terms of your contract. Read your contract properly.

AVOID This company for better and stress free in the future
Anyone thinking of getting a vehicle from Splend please please read my story and others before you sign agreement with Splend
Splend hire company It’s a disgrace and disgusting company
The staff are very helpful but the management is very unprofessional and very rude
Please people save your money from the trouble in the future with Splend as I’ve been with them for over a year despite ups and down with Splend and on the renewal date of the insurance document which splend supposed to provide despite requesting Splend to provide insurance in or else my app will be block by Uber I was assured that I will receive the insurance certificate on the same day it’s expires but unfortunately I did not get anything and it was weekends I was out of work the all week untill the following week had a call from Splend and I explain the situation but they did not want to here anything except for their payments even I was advised by Splend to recover my loss of earnings from VW manufacturing company as I was driving their brands of vehicle
I was left out of work for two weeks of their negligence and instead of solving the issue they are demanding to pay for the week I was out of work , at the end they took the car without given me any notice along with my all the personal belongings well as some cash phone holder dash camera everything been stolen from the vehicle and now Splend denies of anything been in the vehicle as a basic phone holder phone charger seat cover everything is missing and no one’s knows about the missing items
Please everyone make sure you read all the documents before you sign the agreement as most of the agreements copy they won’t give it to you but they will get you to sign all the documents to save them self from future conflicts
Don’t trust them what they say
All it matters for Splend to make money
How ever they can
If they have to lie the they will lie as they did lie to me from the beginning
