I've gotten close to $1000 in cash back through rakuten. Zero reason not to have the extension installed on your browser, literally just free money.

I've been using Rakuten for years and received literally thousands of dollars in cash back for shopping at stores I would go to anyway. It is simple to use, either on the app or my computer, and there are always a ton of shops listed.

I wish I could give zero stars but it's not an option. Placed an order via Rakuten for a monitor from Dell at boxing day. I have yet to receive the cash back as of March 8th. I have contacted Rakuten 4 times, each time asking for patience. My last communication was after the (absurd) 45 business day time frame they specified, but I was still asked to "be patient". The item is now well outside the return window.

I've had other issues with cash back previously requiring reaching out to Rakuten (ebates previously) which were resolved much quicker, but they were much smaller amounts.

With Rakuten I get cash back for places online that I shop. Waiting for those times when there are higher percentages cash back is a big bonus. When I do price comparisons I check what I will be getting back in cash to those retailers who aren't on Rakuten. Usually the cash back is more than what the un-Rakuten retailer sale price offers.
