"Issues"

We have recurring charges that we are not sure where they are from and therefore can't stop them. Fees occur when this happens. There are often times when the card fails to work. The customer service rep subsequently claimed it was my son not knowing how to use a pin or running it wrong. We do know how to use a card, thanks. I'm not satisfied with how this card works, but it helps to be able to put money on their accounts for lunch, grocery pickup, etc..

Great app for teaching responsibility to kids and makes it easy to give/take funds. Support is also readily available and easy to work with.

"I love Busykid and everything it does…"

I love this app and everything it does for both parents and their kids. We have been using it for a few years now. It is a great way to start a child’s journey into finance and teach them the value of saving, investing, giving, and most importantly, spending their money. One of my favorite features is the ability to purchase stock for each child and watch them learn how these vehicles help them invest into their future.

Really like the company. Their banking app is pretty easy to use. Any issue you can most likely resolve right in the app or call the number for the card. Customer service have always been great. My child loves his card and he feels like an adult

Busy Kid works really well for our family. I like the pricing of it and how the product works. Kids really find the app easy to use as they like to track their income. They enjoy being able to go in and pick stocks they want to purchase and also where to donate money too.

"Good service until you need support."

I had been using BusyKids for awhile for my 3 kids and loved it until I needed support. Two of them recently got jobs and no longer needed the card or the chores. I submitted a request to have the two cards cancelled and their accounts as well. Specifically stating only the two and not the third child. The confirmation was only for the two kids and things seemed good. Until a day later when my third child tried to use his card and was declined. Only to find out someone messed up and accidentally cancelled his card too. Wife had to leave work in order to go to my child and pay for his items he needed. Now I’ve cancelled everything with them and won’t use again or recommend.

Update 9/15/23: I was contacted with an apology and was considering changing my review until the customer support person suggested for me to change my review in an email. Appears they only cared enough to apologize so that I’d change this review and not about the mistakes and time/embarrassment it caused.

Great way for a kid to make a payment at a store with parent supervision. Easy way for them to get allowance money and save it.

"Kids enjoy using their own card"

Easy to use and setup. Can have a profile for each child/card. The kids enjoy using their own card and are responsible for knowing where it is and how much is on it for spending.

The annual fee is a little steep. Could use a few different designs (I have 2 children and 1 has the white while the other has the black - even with names they’ll look similar if more than 2 children have a card).
