I had a minor issue and I wrote to the help email. Lisa S. wrote to me and assisted me. Norma wrote a follow up to make sure my request was followed up on and completed to make certain I was satisfied. Please thank them both and I’m sure it’s the entire team for being on the ball and working towards customer satisfaction.

We have been using Busy Kid for more than a year and are happy with it. You have to run the card as credit, not debit, but other than that it works great! We especially love the options to donate to charity and invest in stocks, although I do wish the charity donation went straight to the charity rather than back to the parent to donate.

The BusyKid app is a little challenging at first and the promo code I was given did not work. But, Lisa from support was very helpful and I am optimistic that this app will serve my family's needs over time.....Fast forward to the next day....The follow-up from the company President was impressive.

"Good company and card, not the best money transfer."

Easy interface and responsive. Low cost to use. Transferring money back to the funding source is a bit problematic. Limits to 100.00 a pop and the transfers come in broken up into multiple values. Strange. Overall, the better of the options available.

"Doesn't grow with your child"

The app started out being exactly what I needed for my 14 year old, but as he got older it became more of a hassle. There were certain places he couldn't use his card, and once he got a job he could not set up direct deposit. This is ultimately why we ended things with busy kid. No longer met our needs.

"Clunky and inconsistent"

I like the concept of BusyKids but there are a few frustrations: 1) the app interface is not as easy as it looks. I want an easy way to find where to approve Pay Day each week. Also switching between kids from the parent dashboard is awkward. 2) sometimes when paying at a store, the card doesn’t work by swiping, so my kids have to enter their pin. Then sometimes that doesn’t work. It needs to be more reliable and consistent. They get embarrassed when with friends and the card doesn’t go through.

"First Time Card Use - maybe waive the fee if the pin doesn't work"

The first time my son attempted to use his card, the pin did not work. He tried several times and then he was both embarassed and got a fee. He doesn't even want to try to use it again the experience was so bad. I think, truly, it was the fee that put him over the edge towards the negative. On the bright side, it was super easy to change the pin once I called. He still has not tried it again...
