"There are better cards out there"

When we first got these cards for our boys, it was great. But then they started changing their stock partners and i ultimately just stopped that and went external because it was a hassle changing stock companies every now and then. Self service is very limited so you have to send requests to make updates to your account and then still they miss updating it, like changing an address. You can’t easily transfer money out and even when i sent a request online, never got a response. We had issues with pins not working when shopping. Even though they claim you are covered against fraudulent charges, you’re not. The process is lengthy and ultimately they deny claims. Unlike major banks who reimburse you immediately and then research claims. We only had one claim in 4 years so it’s not like we take chances. It was a legit fraud charge of $20, denied claim. I closed both accounts this week as i just think overall it has become more hassle and poor service. There are better cards out there.

To respond to the company's reply - i got an email that said that they will refund me on the fraud charge and I sent a request asking how long it takes, since I didn't see the refund on my account. But instead of getting a response on that, and you can check me on that... I got another email to say the claim was denied because of their finding, which I gave the proof from the other company that indeed the account was hacked. Again, I liked Busykid in the beginning, but there are better cards out there to choose from.

"Amended review…"

After my initial review, Mike contacted me and worked with the card company. My charges were ultimately reimbursed but it should not have taken 2 months, a claim denial, and many calls. I stand by my original comments about the card company’s poor customer service when dealing with fraudulent charges, but Mike was helpful. They need to step it up for sure. I had busy kid for four years and used it on the basic level of a spending card we could load and monitor, but it’s time to move on.

"Great Platform to Teach Kids"

BusyKid has been such a great platform for my kids to learn how to use credit. It was also great for keeping track of chores and allowance. Now that they are all grown up, we are sad to close our account. Norma was very helpful in doing that for me. This has been a great company and I would highly recommend it!

"The app itself wasn't without issues-…"

The app itself wasn't without issues- only being able to assign a chore on a specific day, for example, instead of a range of "Get it done this week", but when I went to cancel, Tania B. was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to fix my issues.

We had an excellent experience using BusyKid to help our child learn the basics of personal finances. Its a safe place to learn the consequences of overdrawing, realize you have to save to purchase goods, that money is earned. Helped with establishing and reinforcing habits for personal care as well. "Good app"

I stopped using this service a while ago due to the fact that we went a different route for our kids. It's a preference thing for us but the service was not bad. Upon requesting to close my account, Tania made it very easy and effective. Great customer service.
