"Busy Kids is not a trusted platform"
Busy Kids is not a trusted platform. Everything is fine until you encounter a problem. Their customer service number is a dead end. When you call, you will never get a person on the line. It goes straight to prompting you to leave a message or email. No one will ever call you back! When you email them you will hear back the next day, sometimes a few days. You will get very vague convoluted responses. Is this company ran by robots? I wouldn’t recommend Busy Kids.

"Love this app"
Love this app. Has all the features I was looking for in a financial tool that could handle our allowance system and teach my kids about work for pay. It helped us with spending, saving, and giving to charity. My kids would lose their debit cards constantly and the app made it easy to cancel and replace. Highly recommend.

Great tool for children and teenagers to teach them how to save money, spend money, and be responsible when purchasing things. It helps them build financial knowledge and independence at a young age.

"PIN issues solved"
Had issues with the PIN for my parent account, received a call less than 24 hours after emailing the help desk. Lisa was extremely helpful in getting me back into the account and ordering a new card since my son lost his.

"Great for teaching kids how to earn and manage their money"
Ok, so I LOVE busy kid! I've recommended to several people and they love it too. It not only holds my kids accountable, but me too! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I have one complaint. We get charged fees if the card gets declined. Now, let's keep in mind these are kids using the card. There have been times my kid has accidentally signed up for a recurring charge, didn't realize what he was doing because he's a kid. So when the next charge comes through and gets denied bc he doesn't have enough in his card, we get charged a fee. Or when he has only $10 on his card but his total at the store is $11, it gets declined. He thinks it's because he put in his pin number wrong or whatever and has the cashier try again and again and we get charged the fee.
That's really my only complaint with busy kid. Aside from the fact that we are incurring fees for dumb things our kids do bc again, they're kids and are learning how to manage money and the importance of earning it, I have no complaints!

Great application to learn kids financial basics. For teens the card and investing profile are very nice features.

"Easy to use. Good price. Can't wait for the desktop app!"
I like this app and ease of use on the phone. Wish I could give 4.5 stars. But I am giving 5 because of their great customer service and very quick response time for their chat support and email responses. I like that you can have up to 5 kids for a great yearly rate! Easy for me and my kids to use. I like that I could add a 2nd parent. I love that I get an email about my children's card purchases and pay day reminders.
It would also have been nice to have a desktop app and to be able to set monthly limits on card spending like limit on online app purchases like roblox or minecraft or amazon. BusyKid has informed me that they are working on a desktop app. Can't wait to use it when it is released! I am hoping that this platform can eventually also set spending limits based on apps or stores but monitoring that is easy with all the card purchase emails.
Overall this is a great tool for parents and children working on chores, earning, saving, donating, investing, and accountability.

"Predatory practices and no Support"
It is a really good concept, but the execution is very poor.
Support is non existent. I have only one question - instructions on how my kids can login to see their balance....
None of my emails were answered. The chat bot on the website produces only generic answers...
Another serious issue - they charge $0.50 for every declined transaction. So, without the ability to see their balance, my kids just keep trying ...
We spent probably $60 or more in the last 3-4 months on decline fees. I have a feeling, the company does it on purpose (preventing kids from reviewing their balance and charging outrageously high "decline fees"... None other debit or credit cards charge these fees. But this company is hunting our kids for these $0.5)
