"ZERO AFTERCARE"

Complete lack of customer service after they’ve taken your money! A number of emails sent to supposedly senior members of the site team and customer care which are repeatedly ignored. Every encounter I have had post sale has involved having to chase a response. Extremely frustrating and quite frankly dreadful customer service!

"Information meeting"

We had our information meeting yesterday. As first time buyers we are unsure of loads of things but the service we had so far had been outstanding esp. Katie she has made us feel so relaxed and took time to explain everything. I would recommend this company to everyone.

"Absolutely no customer service"

Absolutely no customer service. Moved in 6 months ago. The lead flashing on the dormer window has a gap which means that every time it's even slightly windy the draught gets in behind the tiles and rattles them loudly so it's impossible to sleep. I have sent countless emails and phone calls to try and get it sorted but never get a reply, just told it will be sorted and someone will get back to me, which they never do. L&H find it acceptable that even though I am paying rent on a 3 bed house, one of the bedrooms cannot be used to sleep in for approx a third of the time so we end up having to sleep on the sofa. The developer never answers my calls either. They initially sent contractors out but they said there was no problem despite me sending audio files of the noise. The gutter contractors said the tiles were loose but the roofers apparently wont come back saying its not their problem. L&G need to sort this out. I've had enough of sleeping on the sofa so am seeking legal advice.Its not acceptable that 6 months after moving into a property one of the bedrooms is unusable for sleeping in. I asked if they weren't going to fix the problem, I could get a local roofer to replace the flashing or fix it down but was told I couldnt do that. So what am I supposed to do?

"Finchwood park a mess"

Finchwood park a mess, dug up roads and pavements not finished, always have drainage and sewage lorries around unblocking drains and also currently have a burst drain leaking a lot of water which has been left for 2 days, dead trees and turf and weeds everywhere especially round the flats. We pay maintenance every month to up keep the grounds all I’ve seen is the lawn cut but no weeding or watering of the plants have been done and looks a mess. Started phase 2 haven’t even finished phase 1. Roads still need to be finished and street lights installed so some areas at night are pitch black. They make the front of the site all nice where the office is making sure the grass and plants are watered and looking perfect for people viewing properties but for the residents it’s a mess. Also the smell of weed every night when your sitting in your garden on a nice evening isn’t ideal and nothing is done about it. Lots of people buying and using drugs round here. Please look around before you buy and it would be nice to see some improvement of the site as people pay a lot for these homes.

"Having lived in rented property for the…"

Having lived in rented property for the past 18 years I was very excited about the prospect of owning my own home, but also apprehensive about this major decision. Having lived in other peoples properties for so long I decided on a new build and discovered the L&G development just 15 minutes away. The ladies on the site were very informative, helpful and honest. At no time did I feel under any pressure. A big attraction was that everything I needed was included and of a very high standard. Having decided on the property I wanted, the big question was could I be patient until it is going to be ready. The answer is of course YES.

"Bad Customer Service/After Care"

Been waiting for soft close hinges since February 2022 as it’s annoying the doors slamming when kids in bed waking them. After 4 months they sent one part but not the other part even though an after care person seen the issue. Constantly being ignored, promises of part coming and all the time the 12 month warrant will expire! Pleasant staff to talk to but when it comes to action nothing happens! If I could give a minus star I would. Customer service is zero and even reporting issues via the portal the jobs just sit there and you have to chase the works. Garfield DW Homes Wigston Meadows

"About the best sales office I've ever…"

About the best sales office I've ever seen for a builder. Full of technology to demonstrate the layout of the new estate. Loved the design of the homes. Now going through the buying process. Hopefully will be as smooth as it can be.
