"I actually don't know where to start…"

I actually don't know where to start but probably the best bit is I'm writing this from the living room of our new home!!!

The day we found out our landlord was selling the property we lived in for 4 years was probably one of the worst days of my life.

It came so unexpectedly that it truly sent me into a spin!

Cue the frantic google searching and desperation.
Knowing myself and my partner have had a chequered credit past and him being made redundant recently and in a fairly new position and myself self employed with only one year limited trading accounts which weren't the most favorable to look at in black and white I knew the odds were really stacked against us.

We had a generous gifted deposit from our parents but the house we wanted to put an offer on Still left a large loan to value.

However I wasn't ready to just give up my family needed a home and we needed help.

I came across my mortgage finder and was that afternoon on a zoom call with Hayley.

She went through all the detailed information of the commitment from both sides and the potential outcomes.

Being a neuroduverse person I was finding the whole thing very overwhelming.

Hayley put me so at ease I cannot stress this part enough. We went ahead and she got us an agreement in principle.
I'll never forget that zoom call I burst into tears because the reality of the situation was really hitting me and the moment she told us she had gotten us one was something I'll always remember. I didn't feel like an idiot she was so empathetic and I felt so at ease even I a really vulnerable moment with basically a complete stranger.

That says a lot about Hayley as a person and I'm so grateful our paths crossed.

Then we came to the application part.
Everything was explained no matter how silly my question felt to me.

I was always treated with empathy and kindness.

Emma was then assigned to the case to support us through the process. She was always so helpful no matter how many times I called and sometimes the overwhelm was getting the better of me she was always so professional and supportive.

My only criticism and it was more likely because we had a specialist lender was the length of time the application took.

Getting phone calls saying the seller was considering pulling out was incredibly stressful.

However the girls were on hand to appease the estate agents and solicitors.

There was times I wasn't sure we'd done the right thing it all felt like a really big gamble as we had no plan B.

But I so grateful we stuck it out.

I felt so looked after during the whole process and in 5 years time when our fixed rate is up I hope I'll be speaking to the girls again.

All I can say is trust the process.

The team at My Mortgage Finder are worth their weight in gold.

My family has a home and they played a HUGE part in that, that we will never forget.

Initially George and then Katey took the task on then we had a workaholic member of staff Rachel took over the proceedings, a wonderful reasuring member of the team. Nothing was too much of a problem for her and it was her hard work that got us our dream property. We cannot thank this company enough we would certainly recommend this company to anyone seeling a mortgage and if you are lucky enough to get Rachel it will stress free. Well done all.
