I turned autopayment off since I was leaving the country, I was still charged and when I called the holiness I was waiting for 20 minutes and the "waiting music" was a repeating "Are you enjoying for services and would like to recommend it to a friend? Phonebox will give both of you 1 month of free services! Ask an agent for more details. " which got too f-ing annoying after 5 minutes. The website is not set up very good and I only found the holiness number through googling. I wouldn't recommend it

"Wish this company doesn't exist ...they fool you and you are stuck"
We believed in their offer and ported my number from Bell to Telus using Phonebox. Pathetic service , they messed up the porting, the account is active but the mobile has no signal. They replaced SIM twice, one customer service guy will tell you the Sim is not activated other mentions something else. It is 4th day with no phone service. Repeated calls to customer service but no resolution.
Unfortunately I am stuck as I can't port back unless the service is activated. Also telus can't do anything as phone box has the pin service but these guys don't know what they are doing.
Please don't go with this phone box...I am going through tough time as I can't access anything like online banking or so due to two point authentication.

I had requested for termination right after the activation as something went wrong on my phone. I had originally purchase a monthly plan for two months. When I contacted the customer service to request for refund, they told me that I have to wait until the following month after the termination of the service, which is just literally trying to fool the customer. They even only calculated the total refund for one month and pretend that as the total refund(the refund should be for 2 months, which is the plan I purchased). The customer service is absolute f**king trash. Never use the service of this company.

The attitude of the customer is good, I guess its because they don't want to lose their job. But..... if they actually work on the problem, I would be happy! But they don't work at all!
Cheap, but you get what you pay for, but don't expect them to solve problems.

"I'm New to Phonebox"
I'm New to Phonebox, and am currently not sure what to expect. All the reviews on here are in broken English, so I'm skeptical of if they are even real. I just heard about Phonebox last week, and decided to try it out for a month come Jan 2. I will update this after a month to give an honest review for ANYONE looking for an English speaking resident of Canada (not being judgmental, but sometimes, its nice to see reviews from people who are local-ish to the service company)
