United Nation Van Lines

"What an easy and stress free…"
What an easy and stress free experience! I think this was the smoothest move that I have ever paid for! We hired United Nation Van Lines for the move to Atlanta, GA from Pittsburgh, PA. Even though that is a considerable distance, they were able to give us a very specific window for delivery in Georgia. How precise! Besides that, they were also very accurate with their price. We had them gives us a quote for our house 3 weeks in advance and they sent down a specialist to assess our belongings. She was very professional and, now we know, very accurate as well. I am not surprised that United Nation Van Lines has such a good rating. This was my first time hiring them and I give them 5 stars.

"I have hired United Nation Van Lines…"
I have hired United Nation Van Lines several times already and this latest move of the effects of my late father’s two bedroom house to a storage facility near my house in Texas was just the latest. I could have used several other companies but I decided to settle on United Nation Van Lines because I know them and know that they would treat his things and memories with the appropriate respect and care. An aunt who was at the old house in California to oversee the move relayed to me that that was exactly what happened. The movers were gentle with all is items and listened closely to her instructions, and then followed them to the letter. I am very pleased and highly recommend United Nation Van Lines.

"Everything went as smooth as could be"
Everything went as smooth as could be – 5 stars. I especially liked that they were able to change their delivery schedule to suit me because it made everything very convenient when in a new city (I moved from Tennessee to Ohio). Sure, it was a single person move from a studio apartment to a 1-bedder but the speed and efficiency still surprised me. The moving guys finished faster than they had told me they would and helped me arrange some of my other stuff before leaving. I am completely satisfied with the service. A good moving company that I recommend.

"My first impression of United Nation…"
My first impression of United Nation Van Lines was already stellar but after I have hired them and they have completed a move for me, I am even more sure that they are a very good company. I first spoke to their sales manager last month to get an estimate of the cost of a 4 bedroom home move from Orlando, FL to Bethel Park, PA. She was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure that I understood the most important terms and conditions. She also gave me a quote that was exactly the final price I was charged.

"United Nation Van Lines helped me out…"
United Nation Van Lines helped me out of a real fix by allowing me to do a ‘piggyback’ move. That’s when they allow you to move together with a truck that’s going to the same destination you want to (Georgia to New Jersey in my case). That saved me a lot of money, and I spent a small fraction of what others paid for the same move. Even though they had given me that discount, the service was premium. I got the same speed, punctuality, courtesy and care that all the other reviews are raving about. I would hire them again even if I have to pay full price.

"I would like to suggest to every reader…"
I would like to suggest to every reader of these reviews that United Nation Van Lines is the right choice for them. I have hired them for the third time now and can say with confidence that they do what they promise quickly and efficiently. They also do it at a good price. I am comparing them to the three other movers that I have hired over the past few years, including two that are huge national moving company franchises. What United Nation Van Lines did was match all their good points but forge its own way where it really matters for customers by pricing itself lower than their rates. They give me the best value and I am sure I will make it a fourth hire soon.

"United Nation Van Lines should be your…"
United Nation Van Lines should be your choice of movers if you are looking for the best balance of cost and quality. I found that to be the case when they moved my family and me to North Carolina from Ohio. The move was simply flawless – we paid to get our things moved and that was accomplished with zero issues. We received all our boxes in perfect order. The whole experience was made better by the fact that their sales team was so professional. They helped us understand the complicated process and how the charges were calculated. Considering the level of service I got, I would happily pay a little bit more. Well worth a try if you are looking for good value.

"Poor Performance"
1. Company did not comply with contract. Contract included clause that the cost would be based upon the actual volume of goods. The estimate and payment were based upon a full van load of 4200, cf. The actual volume was 3800 cf and the company has refused to refund the difference of $2,700.
2. The original “over-estimate” by the salesperson was 3000 cf; however, a “QA” rep estimated 4200 cf after viewing relator.com photos.
3. QA rep stated that if not paid for full load prior to move, some items would be left behind or increased prices for volume and packing materials – coercion to increase price. An additional cost of $6,000 was required for a total of almost $22,000. The driver would not start to unload until the full amount was pre-paid.
4. We paid for “full pack” services, which was to include emptying of all drawers and special wrapping of delicate items. This was not performed for any of the dressers, desk, or re-assembling of beds and a large bookcase. The cost per the contract was based upon the full volume and a refund has not been provided for the reduced volume and for the failure to provide the service. The amount of the requested refund was $1,890; however, no response has been received.
5. Driver and rig were not licensed to transport household goods per info from USDOT (General Freight only). The driver stated day laborers (not employees as promised) were hired to “expedite unloading in order to leave for California on another trip to haul produce.
6. A Fictitious Names filing was submitted to the Ohio Secretary of State (07/12/2021) which was seven months after the move. Agent/Registrant - “Moving Nation Deliveries LLC”.
7. A pending insurance cancellation was noted on a USDOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration document.
8. Company did not provide a Bill of Ladings. We were allowed to photograph the first page only and the packer stated he would send a written copy; however, none has been received.
9. All movers were assured, more than once, to be company employees, but local laborers were hired to pack and load and only local laborers to unload. The only company employee was the lead packer. The driver was a wildcatter.
10. We were informed that a company truck would be utilized for the move – van and tractor were from wildcatter.
11. None of the dish pack boxes were provided with packing inserts, which resulted in numerous broken items. Heavy items were placed on top of delicate items resulting in damage even without minimal damage to cartons.
12. Special packing for expensive and antique items was requested and acknowledged by the estimator and the lead packer; however, this was not done for a number of special items and damage was incurred to those items, such as a crystal chandelier and antique clock.
13. None of the boxes were numbered and most boxes were not marked – lead packer had to borrow marker for the few boxes that were identified.

"My sincere gratitude and a huge thank…"
My sincere gratitude and a huge thank you from us all to the entire team at United Nation Van Lines. You were all completely awesome and we hope that you have a great 2022! To all prospective movers, please give these guys a chance for your next move. They moved us from Durham, NC to New York (3 bedroom house) faster and in a very safe and organized way. Meanwhile, the entire staff from the office team to the moving crew was always very polite and friendly in all their conversations with us. The most important thing is price for us and United Nation Van Lines did not disappoint in that regard – very reasonable rates in my opinion! I wholeheartedly recommend this excellent company.

"I have been using professional movers…"
I have been using professional movers for many years all over the country and United Nation Van Lines is definitely among the cream of the crop there. The last time I used them was a few years ago and just had to call them up again when I recalled how pleased I had been with their performance the last time round. No surprises, then, that this was just as good. Their prices have risen, which has to be expected in the middle of this crazy inflation but they are on par with other good movers that service the same areas. My favorite part about this company is how clear they are with their charges. I will keep them in mind for my next move.
