"Avoid..Worthless Warranty!"

Avoid! They send out their own 'independent' engineer to diagnose your vehicle who then find a way not to pay out on your valid warranty claim. Will not entertain any sort of claim even though evidence was presented validating my claim with manufactures maintenance requirements. Do not let a dealer sell you this warranty because if things go wrong, it's worthless.
If you check other reviews you'll find lots of happy dealers, very few (if any) happy warranty holders/customers. Be ware and save your money.

"Small Print avoids payouts"

I was given Gold extended warranty for parts and labour on my purchase of a used car, within the claim period a gearbox issue came up resulting in an out of hours call out to a local garage, as per the terms I had to provide information and a quote and met all the criteria.

The claim was rejected as "Gearboxes are covered but not components or parts" I am left astounded a feel this is a handy get out to pay out.

Avoid!

"Awful insurance company"

To choose this insurance company is a big mistake. I only lost my time and money with them. Their customer service is awful and they always find a reason not to pay you! Even if your insurance policy says they have to!
I bought my hybrid SUV Lexus RX in October 2022 from Auto Car Sales and Valete Centre in Taunton. This insurance policy was part of the deal. I have noticed that I didn't receive any notification from this company about the insurance. So in November I called the car dealer and he promised to make the policy on my behalf! In December 2022 I had the insurance policy. In January I had an emergency breakdown as my antifreeze leaked out of the radiator. So I phoned the closest garage for appointment. This was very stressful for me and my family moment because I need this car all the time, I drive my kids to school and then I go to work!

If I had seen all the negative comments and disappointed people from your company , I would never become your customer!

"If your going to take out a plan with…"

If your going to take out a plan with warranty assist and your car is over 6 years old or has slightly high mileage, check the contribution scale, they won't pay out the full amount of the repair bill. I had some repairs done just before Christmas, sent all my paperwork off only to be told I had to get the invoice made out to warranty assist and not in my name, the garage had never heard of this, caused me some problems

"Do not choose cover with this company I…"

Do not choose cover with this company I took out a Standard policy and each time I have tried to claim they have used every excuse under their terms not to pay out. Even when the part is listed for example a clutch or gearbox, they will turn round and say that part of clutch or gearbox is not covered. I have stopped paying them monthly and told them their request for payment does not meet my criteria. Avoid these, they just want your money and do not want to help. Keep the money as side and fix your car yourself.

We have been working with warranty assist for a while now and we are really happy with how they have dealt with us. They are very helpful and always very efficient with dealing with my customers. My account manager Dan has been very prompt at dealing with our customers and we would highly recommend warranty assist.

"BEWARE- wouldn't even give the company…"

BEWARE- wouldn't even give the company -1 STAR !! bunch of LIAR'S out to take your money you will not have your car fixed with them paying!!. Please be aware that THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE ONLY FROM DEALERS SELLING THE CARS/WARRANTY!!! DO NOT BUY EXTRA WARRANTIES. ANY COMPLAINTS FOLLOWING Any UNSATISFACTORY response FROM WARRANTY ASSIST, HAVE TO GO TO; themotorombudsman. I was told by Warranty Assist pick a garage I could have HALFORDS [LOL] or a few others I had never dealt with...I started to read about this company and knew there was going to be an issue. I voiced concerns to Warranty Assist, and the garage I purchased from GTJ DISS [who I add, has given this company a glowing review] W.A. wanted to take a diagnosis fee from me... i gave my card details, that afternoon I started to have second thoughts, I cancelled ...i called the garage i purchased the car from but was informed that it was my only option to go through the warranty company! Only 2 MONTHS later Issues!! The main issue was the gears/clutch started to feel wrong! I was reversing out of drive one morning and the car just got stuck in gear and wouldn't move forward or back. I therefore had no option but to call Warranty Assist company, again!!! but reluctantl!!..I voiced concerns but this time it seemed the guy was trying to help...sounded OK, take the car to Base Garage Hadleigh (OK so I'd heard of them and good reports) and they will look over, I wasn't asked for any fee this time, so again felt more comfortable...explained I couldn't even move the car!! A transporter would collect, and this is what happened!!! 2 wks later I'd not heard anything from either Warranty Assist or the Base Garage so I called the garage and was told "It was all fixed the clutch cable ring had slipped and to collect...this was great!! I collected I asked the garage if I had to settle anything they said no they will speak to Warranty Assist.
Out of the blue, and a good 2 months later I had an invoice come through my door from Base Garage? I was concerned they hadn't been paid so contacted Warranty Assist and got a bulls!@#t response back see below:
We attempted to contact you on 12/10/2022 at 10.15 as the payment for the initial diagnosis fee was unsuccessful. We then made attempts to contact you after this to try and get this payment made.
As we did not ever receive this payment, we never authorised the workshop to proceed with diagnosis.
We have then spoken to them some time later to find out if they had been in contact with you, as we were unable to reach you. They informed us the repairs were complete and there was a payment outstanding.
We advised the workshop that no repairs had been authorised by ourselves, and the repair they had carried out is not covered under your plan, therefore we would not be able to pay this.
I am unsure if you have authorised the workshop directly to complete the repairs, or whether they have proceeded without authority, however the repair is not something that Warranty Assist are able to cover.

I have to laugh at the Excellent customer service letter from JANE !!! And was wishing the fairy tale hadnt ended so abrupt about why they don't cover the clutch was hoping to be enlightened...WHATEVER YOUR car PROBLEM I GUARANTEE it WILL BE a big NO!!

I have read the cover- Clutch cable master slave hydraulic AND PEDAL ASSEMBLY!!! I have written back (but of course they have not replied yet) I have a date in my diary for an official complaint to Motor Ombudsman! 8WKS THEY HAVE TO REPLY!!..
The lies and fabrications to get out of settlement is a joke ...BE AWARE BUNCH OF liars cheats DONT USE THESE CROOKS!!
