Application was straightforward and very easy to complete.

"Failure to collect books"

I have attempted to have a consignment of books collected on 2 occasions. The courier failed to appear on the first and I have yet to receive a response to an email requesting I send the booking form (they had no record of it apparently) which I duly did. Still waiting for a response. I applaud the charity for what it does but am frustrated that I am struggling to contribute to a good cause

I am moving house and wanted to donate some academic books to a good cause and found Books2Africa. The online donation process is super-easy and contributing towards the costs of the collection and onward journey is entirely appropriate.

I had plenty of dictionnaries and thesaurus books to give. Books for Africa have specific packing requirements, but I found my own bags easier to handle. The kind driver too! So they went, hopefully useful for someone 🤞🥰

"Scam?"

I contacted B2A on the 16 January 2024 requesting for 1 pallet of tertiary education books, 25 laptops and 50 computers to be shipped for use at our academy in Nigeria. We made a payment of about #10,000 pounds to their Account to which they confirmed receipt.
They promised that the items would be delivered by early June. I have written several emails to which they responded to only one with no clear progress/status report on the shipment.
I feel scammed and have asked for full progress report or refund of our money. It's a horrible experience. Our Academy launch date was scheduled for today but we have had to cancel for this reason.

Thank you for letting me know where the donated books went to. I have found it very straightforward to send books to Books2Africa and I am so pleased that the books can be useful in other countries.

A few years ago we sent a couple of boxes of books to Books2Africa and all went well. When we were thinking of doing so again for some reason I looked at the reviews and was concerned about people having problems with collections. However we went ahead. Easy communication by email to arrange and on the day of collection the firm collecting sent an email first thing giving us an hour time slot. Actually he was a little early. We have since had a progress report which was good to know.
