Do not get your service at Big Box Cars.
I recently visited Big Box Cars as this is where I purchased my car, initially with the sales team and the financial team I received a fantastic service.
I booked my major service with Big Box cars. Upon picking up my car and driving about 40mins the fill oil light came on.
I called Big Box who advised its most likely a setting and to bring it back down to them (1 hour from my house) to which I rejected. A mobile mechanic was suggested to them by me, which they organised 4 days later.
The mobile mechanic arrived to find there was extreme low amounts of oil in the car, which I was advised by Big Box Cars was filled during the major service along with the replacement oil filter.
Which it was not and the mechanic did not double check this during the service. Luckily, I noticed the light on my dash and called them as if I drove away on holidays this week with no oil in my car it would be a VERY different outcome.
I then spent hours on the phone to Big Box and the sub-contracted mechanic, then I had to pay another $200.00 out of my account so the mobile mechanic would go and get the oil required for my car.
I was then told the money would be placed into my account the same day, I was then advised the following day the money would be paid this afternoon. Still no money.
I requested management to call me to discuss this matter to which I was told "the manager is too busy to call you today". I then sent an email to management advising of this. I was then offered 50% off my next service... I would not take my car back to Big Box cars if I was paid to do so.
During my phone calls to and from trying to get some customer service, it was advised to me "well we fixed the issue and your being paid back so what do you want from this?".
I am now out of pocket $950.00 for a service which wasnt completed properly, could have blown up my motor and will have to get another mechanic to check over the work to make sure nothing else was missed.
Very unhappy customer.

Been going to BigBox as a tradition now... Over the years bought cars, sold 1 and in every exchange received exceptional service from Frag, Ben, Dori and Dennis are a closenit and faboulous team !

"Misleading buy your car"
They offer a buy your car. I entered my car details and was given an offer which I was happy about. I then clicked yes and to proceed. Then it said we are not going to proceed.
I rang and spoke to the Buyer (Randall) today and he said the car is too old. I pointed out whats the point in engaging in false and misleading information. He pointed out it only takes 2 minutes. I assume this is a standard response he rolls out.
I look forward to standard reply to discuss with someone. No thanks.

I was not provided with a second car key and the dealer was not even mentioning it, as if it is not important to know.

"Don't bother with them"
Don't bother with them. Using carsales.com.au I sold my car to an instant quote from Big Box first they tried to get out of driving me home or paying for a taxi despite their add saying they pay for a taxi. It's been nearly 2 days now and I still have not received payment despite their promise that the money would be in my bank by 3 pm same day.
When I chased up my payment , they promised a return call. Nobody called back so 6 hours later I had to call again.. by the way lip service only , no payment received yet and they have the car.
All nice in their add's , butter wouldn't melt in their mouth etc but in reality just a bunch of very tough hard nose sales professionals when you meet them.

"Theft for my consideration"
Due to my own consideration of a salesman’s time off from the office, I waited to cancel my deposit on a vehicle to when he was back at his desk. I rang up first thing and was told I’d get a call back from Frag. Sadly I got a text and it stated my refund falls outside of the 48hr window (I booked the car late Tuesday evening - spoke to Frag Wednesday and decided the next day that I wouldn’t take the ex-lease/ex-hire Toyota Corolla - but Frag wasn’t available on Thursday… so I called first thing Friday morning).
I’ve just had major surgery and we are searching for a second hand car for me to use when I’m recovered in 6 weeks time.
I put my trust in this company and gave my kindness and consideration to Frag’s time away from the office. Only to be bluntly told via TEXT MESSAGE (not return call) … that they are keeping the $200.
I’m honestly so disappointed and feel this is outright theft considering the situation.
There is no way to cancel or request a refund online or via the email. So you literally have to talk to the salesperson you originally spoke with. Yet what happens when he’s away from his office???

Bought a Kia from them but I would not recommend them.
Struggled to get any response to know where my finance application was, and had to resort to calling the manager (Jason). They didn't deduct the deposit I said I would give. I finally got my car and then, 2 weeks later, had to follow up to get the roadside assistance as promised by them.

"Fantastic one stop shop"
My husband and I were looking for a new car. We had been to a few other dealers with no luck. Big boxcars was the last dealer we visited. Jye served us. He was friendly and very helpful. There were so many cars to choose from and the quality was very high. We had a pre appproved loan from Westpac with a high interest rate but Dori in finance got us a better deal with half the interest rate. This place is a one stop shop. Within a matter of hours we got a brand new car with a competitive loan and insurance. We would highly recommend this place. No need to go anywhere else, big thank you to Jye and Dori. We love our new car. You guys awesome!!!
