A Better Bid

"Great customer service"
I found ABB to be the best place for salvage cars so far. Tried many platforms, these do stand out. Great customer service, and the website is a breeze to navigate. Got my deposit back without any hassle when bid didn't win. Very happy with the service…

"Worst company ever"
Worst company ever. Money has been sent, but they said didnt received it. Not willing to help me to get money back. No communication at all. So lost all money and car. + got a fine of 1200$ for car relisting.

"Avoid Like The Plague"
The kings of bad business practices, preying on the ignorance or inexperience that comes with those often using a broker. They attempt to deceive, manipulate and straight up operate with zero care or repercussions for advertisement fraud, and gaslight at every chance they find. Many facets of their business model revolve around deception, whether it’s their paid advertisement on copart for a “Transaction Fee” of 199, meanwhile being charged 7k in the same “Transaction Fee” with your deposit held ransom, or them charging you non-corporate Copart fee rates despite them paying high-volume rates (which for an expensive auction can amount to a different in thousands of dollars) which they hope you don’t notice. Websites such as Reddit are riddled with clearly fake, AI generated reviews/referrals.
Most miserable week of my life trying to deal with these people. The day where the FTC serves them papers will put a grin on my face.

"I recently subscribed to the premium…"
I recently subscribed to the premium membership with A Better Bid, believing it would allow me to preview vehicles at auction yards at no extra cost. After paying $180 for the premium membership and visiting the yards, I was shocked to learn there is still an entry fee. This fee applies whether you have a membership or not, making the premium membership completely pointless.
I felt misled and taken advantage of, especially since I could have opted for a free membership at Copart and just paid the entry fee. When I requested a refund after just seven days, I was informed the membership is nonrefundable.
A Better Bid's practices feel deceptive and unfair. I urge others to think twice before subscribing.

"I have the proof this site operates a fraud"
I have the proof this site operates with intent to defraud. I've caught them manipulating costs from Copart and from checkout to invoice, Cost numbers presented are not equal to invoice numbers, transaction fee on invoice is 299, on checkout 199, and hidden doc fees, shipping is not from quote but a fixed number they update, add on to copart costs based on what copart told me the cost was. I will be reporting to copart corporate office and Florida AG. Never pay these guys with bank or direct debit you will loose your money, use credit card so you have recourse if you still want to buy through them.

"Great experience "
You have to read all their requirements. I have bought 2 cars through them now and everything went as smooth as I could have asked. Questions were answered within 10 minutes of emailing. I will use them again in the future.

"Terrible At the time of this posting..."
UPDATE: 3/27/24 After several calls, texts, & emails, confirmation was given for the successful delivery of the Porsche. It should have been a simple process and the original commitment should have been executed. Still awaiting paperwork...will see if is accurate or needs editing. Right now 3 stars with room to improve. I will consider bidding with this broker again. [END] At the time of this posting, the auction went fine for a 2000 Porsche, although their computer systems sent mixed emails on the "BUY IT NOW". This was rectified. They confirmed the BID, they provided a shipping amount to the destination in California and then proceeded to arrange the shipment to my home address in Yellowstone WY. Everything has been documented and committed by them twice, and the transporter. Three days later they call me and tell me it will be delivered to Yellowstone WY, not CA as was agreed. They want more $$. This is currently happening.... I will update as things progress.

"Shipping Scam"
This is the only company that requires you to use their shipping and their shipping costs about double what load board spot rates are. You can choose not to use their shipping but then you have to send them a lot of documentation that you will never have access to because you have no legal way to access to them outside the industry. If you're in the industry it can take days to weeks and by then you're paying $30/day for storage. Not only that. A Better Bid can never be party to the contracts and policies they require from your 3rd party shipper. They have zero legal jurisdiction to require them. They will point to their contract with CoPart but you can't read this contract and you're not party to that contract. You are not bound by it. No other broker has these requirements and if they do, their shipping is more in line with actual industry rates.

"You get the car in the end...but"
You get the car in the end. Its just they charge you 3k in fees. I won an auction for $3550 and ended up paying $5997 total. The delivery driver was nice, but I really went over budget. Just get a normal car unless you can really make good profits from flipping the car.
