We were there for 10 days just before Christmas and stayed at 3 different camps and we can't say anything bad. We saw the big 5 within a day or two. The best way to explain a safari is you are in complete trust of these animals as they are in complete trust of you being there. If you allow yourself to see the beauty of this it can touch your soul. This is a top notch agency that knows what they are doing and I would go back to them again if I ever get another chance to go back to South Africa.

Experience counts and I’m sure it was Camille’s 40+ years of experience in African safaris that made our recent trip to Tanzania a smooth and very enjoyable experience. This was the fifth trip she had organised for us and certainly met our expectations. Eight days on safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Our guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Then four nights relaxing at the beautifully sited Zawadi hotel in Zanzibar. All our transfers were on time, even when flight times changed at short notice. Thanks again Camille!

As first-time visitors to South Africa as well as the safari experience, we were thrilled with the expertise and sensitivity African Safari Consultants (ASC) provided.
The advance details of our itinerary ensured there would be no surprises. Liesl was responsive to every concern we had.
Her selected sequence of game reserve locations allowed us to enjoy a breadth of sightings and experiences that allowed us to check every box on what we hoped to accomplish.
Weaving in a visit to Victoria Falls as an interlude from land-based travel to water-based provided a welcome change. Seeing a herd of elephants swimming in the Zambezi River during our sunset cruise from Livingstone was the highlight experience.

ASC handled every detail in seamless fashion. Airport transfers, local routes, lodge check-ins were all performed on time and delivered by professionals.

"A Lifetime Dream Better Than The Dream"

Liesl Matthews, over a period of 4 years and forced cancellations, made a lifetime dream come true. Every moment of our trip that she planned was perfection. My partner, Billy, and I had wanted to go on safari our whole lives and it was even better than we had ever thought possible. The Honeyguide Mantobeni was incredible with an amazing staff and incredible food. Laying in bed at night and listening to lions and hyenas at night was beyond description. Our guide, Michael, made sure we saw The Big 5 and added the African Painted Dog and Cheetah to make the Magnificent 7. His Ferrari Safari had us flying from our seats. We did a bush walk with the wonderful Nathan who made us feel very safe and comfortable. Four days in Capetown, planned by Liesl with a driver who knew the history of Capetown and its surrounds was a true joy. We loved the beautiful town of Hermanus where we watched whales from the beach and went to Boulders Beach and Betty's Bay to view the most amazing South African Penguin show. I would recommend Liesl and African Safari Consultants to anyone wanting to make their dreams come true.
