Not the most exciting thing to review...
Unless you're in the market for top-quality hardwood.
I've just returned from fitting the oak I'd ordered.
I looks superb - there's no other word for it.
The client is delighted, too.
One of the best things about ordering from British Hardwoods, is the quality of their packaging.
TWO layers of corner-protecting cardboard (which is incredibly strong!) and a corresponding number of layers of plastic film. to keep everything in tip-top condition.
Their prices, too, are so, so much keener than some high-street stores (one in particular is charging £58 for an 'L'-shaped piece of pine?!)
They also know how to correctly store their timber, so you don't have the pain of searching through countless pieces, trying to find something that's 'almost' straight.

Just the name, 'British Hardwoods', says it all, really.

I bought about 30 square metres of oak floorboards, plus ancillaries (scotias, doorway transition thingies, etc) from British Hardwoods. The people were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, the products were excellent and the prices were fair. I'd use them again and I do recommend them.

"I was going to order oak stave worktops…"

I was going to order oak stave worktops for a media wall at my house as I thought solid oak would cost too much, when I looked on the website I was pleasantly surprised at the cost, don't get me wrong it's not cheap oak nowadays but when my order arrived the oak for my worktops (420mm wide 32mm thick window board) was one piece, not jointed and great quality, I also rang the next morning to order some oak in custom lengths, I didn't realise this would be then classed as a separate order so when my order arrived my custom lengths didn't I asked and they said this could be another week away I said it wasn't a problem as I didn't need it straight away but to my surprise the driver came back the same day with it. Fantastic timber and fantastic service I cannot recommend them highly enough.
