I am a returning customer, (again!); have purchased a few items from Footplate, all pre-owned stuff, have just received an LMS Jinty and LMS Crab together, both Bachmann OO gauge; first off their prices are superb given that there is competition elsewhere and overheads must be met; second they put an honest description, quite detailed, of the cosmetic condition and more importantly how the item runs (in my case locos which is very important - Rails of Sheffield only put 'test run' on everything they sell! - that to me is pretty useless); their dispatch time is very quick, usually three days to delivery in my experience, and the packaging is excellent; I cannot fault Footplate in any way at all, and if there is anything 'railway' I'm in the market for, then they are the first port of call! highest recommendation.

This is my 2nd online order from Footplate, the service and personal touch has been first class. I made several purchases at the Doncaster show from their stand of what was a fantastic array of new and preowned stock and the very friendly person who served me informed me of other similar items on the website, so I purchased further items on getting home on the Sunday. Considering the extremely tiring weekend they would all have had at the show, my order was turned around a lot quicker than expected and arrived in perfect condition a few working days later. I can only highly recommend Footplate as being a very hard working, friendly and professional business to deal with.
