"Disaster. Unprofessional. Charged me £2800.witheld items 5 days. Damaged 7 large items Inc 3 bikes. Always take household insurance for items to cover damage"


Beware unprofessional movers. Highly stressful experience.
Didn't move everything in time and charged me double. I had a lot of things and honestly.Some of it wasn't packed but I thought that all the boxes that had been in my house.Fluttering it up for months due to the solicitor's.Delaying things would be taken first
I wasn't clear from the contract.What would be taken in what order?But they did say they would take everything but essentials on the first day
Instead they sent an older Man and his son.We kept stopping for e cigarettes and taking photos of my possessions as though complaining about the state of it , he only filled half a truck and they left by 1 30 pm. I was even helping and you when they left that not enough had been don On the.
2nd day they arrived about 8:15. And kept sending more and more people , however , it wasn't done til About two pm


This meant I had no time to clean a three bedroom house As I had to have been supervising all the movers all the day. I then had to come back the next day.Luckily thee buyers weren't mov Moving in that day and spend the whole day cleaning the house.And missed a shift at work to
Then I had to miss another shift at work on Monday.Because they withheld my things for 5 days.In their storage unit by the docks Told me they would deliver it on monday as it was to late to unload it. Of course, it would have been too late.Although the guys when they left the house told me.There was no cut off time when I asked.
They said it was okay to arrive at 4 PM.But how long would it update them to unload?They wouldn't have stayed until ten pm anyway
I didn't know I had to pay on the day and they didn't call till 4:30 PM. The company should usually take a deposit.Then they can't claim you haven't paid. When I was driving on the motorway , then they claim I hadn't paid

He then agreed to bring it round the next morning at 7 AM.But I found my solicitor hadn't paid me.So I couldn't pay the 2800 pounds.He claimed I owed for a second day's work
I took them company on because they were charging £1250 Which, although it's a month's wages for me?Is the cheapest quote I could get?And they were available every time I moved my moving date which I thought was a good sign.They were nice on the phone
But on the day they didn't get enough stuff in the truck and had to do more in the 2nd day meaning that I was late getting to the property.There was also a lack of communication.They judged the next hundred pounds per hour after two pm for waiting
But the worst thing has been the unprofessional damage complete lack of apology and the personal attitude of the manager or , however , was dealing with this

"Terrible service from these jokers! Warn others!"

Terrible service from these jokers! The moving company picking up from them contacted to tell me our stuff was in a terrible state and compartment was compromised and rat poop was everywhere so they could only take 1/2 my stuff and they would come get the rest when Kwikshift repacked the remainder to ensure no rats or rat waste was anywhere, so as not to compromise other customers household items (Ours was being shipped to Portugal). The whole experience was badly managed and they denied everything! The other company picking our stuff up from them said its not the first time this has happened and they were going to strike Kwikshift off their list of companies to work with. They had to go back a week later to pick up the rest of our items. We got 2 seperate deliveries not knowing what to expect as we weren't in the UK. Let me tell you...our things were FULL of mould and some things still damp! We had to throw away precious precious items and expensive clothes, bedding, all sorts! We were pointed to clain on the insurance, no apologies, no expenation as to why they would store our things in a bad container. The insurance procedure was RIDICULOUS and purposely made difficult. We had before and after photos as we are thorough and seasoned movers. My dad passed away in a freak boating accident so I was unable to turn it all in within the 7 days. Did they tell me to not bother with the hours spent on sending all relevent documentation in? No they did not. In the end we were offered a £500 "Goodwill Gesture". Disgusting! I have all of our Whattsapp conversation and photos, all the photos from the other moving company sent o me and all the emails back and forth. In the end you have to decide if it is worth the time and cost of getting an attorney to fight despicable actions made by companies like this towards customers who paid without question. We weighed it all up and decided our new life in Portugal and the hours of work already given to this matter were not worth it as they had us stitched up with the 7 days to turn in your insurance claim nonsense. I will make it my life's mission to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. You can't replace precious hand made gifts from children and grandchildren, old baby clothes kept to make blankets, framed pics and art work. Please do not use this despicable company. Still no apology to this day, just ignorance and poor manners. I hope with everything in me that they collapse and go broke and have to use the same type company and receive the same treatment they give their customers. You can turn your head and be ignorant until it happens to you. PLEASE get your stuff out now and warn others. We chose them from a recommendation. Just pay that bit more and sleep easy knowing your stuff is safe and dry. Thank you for listening.
