"Bought an ecostrad ceramic 1500 w…"
Bought an ecostrad ceramic 1500 w radiator which worked until we tried to connect it to Wi-Fi. On reporting the problem we were told we had overheated it and they refused to take any responsibility. We spoke to Ben who was very unhelpful and said they don’t have field engineers. Steer clear of this company as if anything goes wrong with a purchase it is not their fault I wish we had checked them out we would have seen the 66% one star reviews. We will now be taking this claim to the Small Claims Court as a matter of principal.
Hello There
"These are efficient but NOISY!"
I bought 5 of the Ecostrad IQ 1500w. Overall they do a good job at maintaining a constant temperature throughout our 2 bedroom bungalow, and the cost was surprisingly low..... Now, the major downside, these radiators are NOISY!!... The constant expansion and contraction when heating/cooling can make loud pinging, banging noises, I can only describe it as someone throwing marbles onto a tin roof. If you are looking for a quite heating solution and a peaceful nights sleep... AVOID these heaters :( We shall be replacing them at our loss :(

"Very poor product reliability."
Very poor performance on these radiators. They do not last long c3yrs which is when they are out of warranty.
At their price you expect these to last longer than this. The customer support will totally avoid help unless you wish to pay to get them repaired but an electrician would be required to fit. However, that doesn't even guarantee it will work as it could be something the main element inside which happened on my first one. Avoid these.

"Don’t waste your money purchased 2 …"
Don’t waste your money purchased 2 2000w radiators 4 years ago one has failed and is unrepairable considering they’re only used over the winter months should last longer radiators should have a lifespan that typically last between 10/15 years. Warranty misleading should be highlighted 2 years warranty Mechanically.
What can go wrong on paintwork/body any damage would be down to wear and tear and misuse

"Ecostrad ceramic iq"
The Ecostrad ceramic iq is a very poor yet expensive product. I made the mistake of buying 5, 1 has already been scrapped another one is so noisy that I have switched this to another room which is not used so much, I will replace this once I have done my research on replacement products. There is no repair service for these products and the staff are not interested if you complain. The warranty is simply not worth the paper it is written on.

"Avoid at all costs"
When replacing storage heaters in a house,it seemed logical to upgrade to modern electric heaters.
Since installing my Ecostrad heaters, 3 out of 5 have failed.
Electric Radiators Direct suggest that they can't be repaired and as these units are out of warranty, they won't do anything about them.
£1,500 completely wasted and from the looks of this page, I'm not alone.
Avoid.
Update following "industry standard" get out of jail free card reply.
My conversation with with ERD ended up with me exploring if they could be repaired (at my expense) to which they pretty much said, no they couldn't.
If a car breaks out of a standard warranty, you don't just throw it away and I don't see the difference between that and £1,500 of heaters.
Do let me know if repairs are actually available as I would imagine that Ecostrad have investigated why so many units have failed and corrected the problems by now?

" 3 Ecostrad IQ Ceramic Wifi…Excellent!"
I had 3 Ecostrad IQ Ceramic Wifi Heaters fitted by Swiss Electrical in January 2025. They are brilliant! Warm when needed and cost saving when not.
I find the Wifi easy to use using the Smart Life app. I can control each heater both from within the house and also remotely when not at home.
I think the problem most people are having is because they haven't read the simple setting instructions properly. I have the people sensor switched off, (disabled). I suspect the problems other have been having is having this active as when it is, if there is no movement in the room the heaters automatically turn down into eco mode and then to off. This happens if you are watching TV for a time etc. I would only use this setting in a big house on radiators that are in rarely used rooms.
Very pleased with the performance and cost savings as against storage heaters these replaced.

"Very disappointed . Electrical failures."
I bought four Ecostrad IQ ceramic radiators n November 2022. One had to be replaced within a couple of months due to an electrical fault. Now, 2 and a bit years on, another 2000w radiator has failed due to electrical fault, and is just out of warranty. As others have reviewed similar stories, Ecostrad boldly displays a 10 year warranty but that is only for the body. Electrical guarantee is only two years. My only option is to replace it, but it won’t be another Ecostrad as I fear
the others might also fail. It originally cost £529 which is a lot of money!
