"Wonderful stay at Parana Apartment"

Excellent 6-night stay in October 2024, in a very well located apartment (5th floor of a building with elevator) by the sea. From our balcony, we had a magnificent view of the beach, the sea and the boardwalk. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped, it lacked nothing. Lots of restaurants, bars, grocery stores and bakeries near the apartment. We had a rental car and always found a space on the street to park the vehicle when we returned from our excursions. I would return to this apartment with great pleasure. Thank you Algarve Vacation, Olivia, Ines and Maro for your precious assistance. I highly recommend Algarve vacation.

Booked with Algarve Vacation through AirBnB for a villa in Carveiro and couldn't recommend them enough! For any questions in the lead up to our trip Olivia was very responsive and accommodating. During our stay we were welcomed by Stephen who gave us some recommendations for restaurants and activities. The villa itself was perfect and well located. Will definitely be booking again

"AMAZING COMPANY - Algarve vacations were an amazing…"

Algarve vacations were an amazing company to deal with. Olivia answered emails at all times of day or night before our holiday and nothing was too much trouble. Enes was a mind of information at our welcome meeting recommending restaurants, beaches and day trips, she also checked in with us a couple of times during our holiday to see that we were doing ok. I cannot recommend this company enough they are fantastic

"Not quite 5 star!"

We booked Villa Dominica as part of a package holiday through Expedia. Once the booking was made, all communication was through Algarve Vacation who were very responsive to all messages and queries that we had. The villa is spacious and great for a group of friends or a family, and has everything you need for a pleasant holiday. All bed linens and towels were clean, as were all of the rooms, although there were some issues with areas of the kitchen which we reported to the rep.
The villa is located in a quiet residential area approximately 20 minute walk from the centre of Carvoeiro. The outdoor space is great, with plenty of seating and loungers and an undercover dining area with cooker and fridge. There is a small mini market about 10 minute walk and a larger Intermarché approx 1 mile away, which is cheaper and has a great selection.
Our rep Martin was lovely and very helpful, but we were given an incorrect time for his visit so we were out when he arrived and we
had to rush back to see him.
It is slightly confusing when you arrive at the location as there is no signage to indicate that you are at the correct villa, it also has a different name, Casa Jolixanel. A name plate at the gate would be helpful.
Our welcome message provided us with access codes for 2 key boxes, unfortunately it did not tell us where the second key box was located! For reference, it is in the gas cupboard, this important detail needs to be added to the welcome info to avoid a lengthy search trying to locate it.
We had issues with the cleanliness of some areas of the kitchen. Food spill in the fridge had not been cleaned and we had to wash all of the cutlery, and cutlery drawer as it was very dirty and full of food crumbs. We took pictures and reported this to the rep who was suitably embarrassed.
We also had concerns regarding the video cameras overlooking the pool. It is a 'private' villa and we felt that this was an invasion of our privacy. While we appreciate the need for security, nowhere is it mentioned that you will be on a live video feed while sunbathing around the pool. As an all female group, this made us feel very uncomfortable as the rep appeared to have no knowledge of this or who had access to view it!
After 4 days we had not seen any evidence of pool maintenance and the pool started to appear cloudy and was turning green, We reported this and sent photos as requested. It was not resolved before we left so we could not use the pool for the final 2 days of our holiday which was very disappointing. The pool guy did arrive at 7.30pm on our final evening, unfortunately too late to help us as we were leaving at 8am the next day.
All in all we had a good holiday but it could have been 5 star with a few minor changes.

"Perfect location for a family holiday"

We had a lovely stay at the property. The location was perfect everything within walking distance. The pool was amazing and heated to our requested level so our 4 and 6 month old grandchildren could enjoy it too.
