Don't remember if I have written a review on my Cyclone Rake so I thought I would write one now.
I purchased my Rake in 2012. I bought the Classic with upgraded hose and better lining. Since my purchase I have replaced the bag twice, and the impeller two or three times. Also replaced a couple other smaller things I can't remember. However, those parts were actually worn out. I live in a very sandy area and the sand is extremely tough on the impellers and material. I have about a hundred trees including a lot of pines (pine straw). I actually use the Rake year round. I even have live oak trees that shed in the spring. I never fold the unit down because I use it too often. I have been impressed with the quality of the Rake from the start. Great motor, all the molded parts hold up very well and usually the impellers last as well. I normally wear the ends off them. About a month ago I had my first one break and I called WPP and explained what happened. They realized the impeller had been machined wrong for the drive shaft so they replaced it for me. I thought that was great. I try to clean it up after each use but enptying the bag and washing everything down. 12 years and still impressed and happy with it. Can't beat that.

Quality of manufacturing is excellent. Customer service is expedient. The paper bag insert was damaged in shipment but they replaced it very fast. Would buy their products again.

An absolute pleasure working with people knowledgeable (and articulate) about their product. I received my unit (XL) model in less than 48 hours! It was packed and labeled for easy assembly...why can't more companies be like this.

"SPS-10 Not quiet what I’d hoped for"

The machine went together fairly easy, there is definitely a few “quality control” issues with the unit. One of the wheels had to be pounded onto the axle with a dead blow mallet (which I’m sure messed up the bearings), there was two bolts missing, when I unboxed the engine unit there was a nut laying in the bottom of the box that I’m still not sure where it came off the engine.
The unit started on the second pull and ran flawlessly. The suction is wonderful, for about the first minute, then it drops DRAMATICALLY. The issue is the “venting” of the bag. The two small “exit ports” on the sides of the bag stop-up with the leaves/grass almost instantly and the suction suffers greatly, cut in half at least… no air out means no suction in. The only fix is shutting the unit down every minute or two to knock the debris off these screens, definitely a design flaw. However, that first minute it sucks like crazy.
This unit is not for the timid, it’s like pushing a wheelbarrow around your yard with three kids in it, it’s heavy, and big. On flat ground if you walk at a slow pace, and go over things twice, it does a fairly good job. Although in the long run I’m not sure it is any faster, or easier than raking, and hauling the leaves in a tarp.
Over all I’d give it a C+
