I feel I have to edit my review, I am not at all sure that everything was as it seemed. My house completion was May 9th this year and I have now been informed that literally less than 2 months later it appears that Smooth Sale managed to do what they hadn't done for me in over a year and had completed a sale on the property. I'm afraid this has made me very suspicious and I will be looking for legal advice.
My home was on the market with smooth sale for almost a year. It is a quirky property and not right for everyone but I had a cash buyer and after 5 months of her messing around was almost at exchange when she literally disappeared, no communication at all, I didn't feel that the people dealing with it were particularly helpful at this stage and honestly I wasn't overly impressed with them throughout the whole process, I was pushed from one person to another, constantly having to repeat information that they should already have been aware of, it really wasn't a great experience but maybe I was just unlucky.
I then ended up talking to Ben O'Brien who from the first conversation was brilliant, he actually seemed to care, explained everything clearly and in less than 2 weeks my house was sold to them. Yes the offer was low, I initially spoke with Charles who gave me a figure and made it sound like that was the done deal, it wasn't, it changed so don't expect the first offer you get to be what you receive but I accepted that. There were problems too even on day of completion but Ben got me through it, even when I had a complete meltdown. I give 3 stars because of the experience as a whole with the initial sales team but I give Ben 5 stars. Thank you Ben

We only went as far as getting an offer from SmoothSale but the service received was very good. Charles was very helpful and explained the whole process in a clear and concise manner. The offer made was generous but we received a higher offer on the open market so we didn’t go any further with SmoothSale.
