"This is my second review of Datalot"
This is my second review of Datalot, and overall I am satisfied with the results. To date I have closed 21% of my quotable calls, and that is a rate I can live with. There are ebbs and flows to this and the results are not immediate, but if you work the leads, you should close your fair share.
My only issue with this company is their return policy. In this field you deal with a lot of customer dishonesty and that should be a reason for returning a lead. If the caller says they have no accidents the past 5 years, and is then transferred to the agent paying for the call, the agent should have the ability to run the reports to find out the truth. But if you run an "Underwriting" report, the call cannot be returned, which is not fair to the agent. If the caller lies, why should I be responsible for paying for it? And if it takes my running the CLUE and MVR to determine the truth, why am I penalized? Now, even the Pre-Fill report is considered an underwriting report. All that does is show their current insurance, if they have any.
So overall, the close rate is acceptable, but the return policy is not. So make up your mind beforehand and determine if you can live with the return policy that eats away your available funds that could go towards quotable, legitimate leads. I'm now working with my second account manager, and he is doing a much better job of answering my questions, and taking care of my issues.

The calls are not that consistent and most calls that do come through are received at irregular times also some calls are not that good in quality when they do come.
