Starting a claim with Merit Administration was hassle-free, thanks to their attentive customer service. Waiting for the mechanic's feedback, but so far, very impressed with how they've handled everything!

It took 10 days to get approval for a new alternator. What does the past oil changes have to do with the alternator? I did not know oil was part of the electrical system; I know that would cause worse problems. If I changed my oil at home, there would be no records of that. Believe it or not, some people still do some of their own routine maintenance. This created 14 days of rental vehicles because we only have ONE vehicle. Due to my husband's disability, we need a vehicle that can hold his scooter. Do you cover the rental fees? The people I have talked with in your organization have not been the most helpful in this matter. I have started considering other companies.

"Hopefully I can turn this review around..."

My transmission died last week and I sent in all of the paperwork from my last service (in April 2024) including a transmission check. You are trying to claim that since I waited 14000 miles between oil changes that you are unable to help me with my transmission replacement. Even the mechanic at the transmission place told you that shouldn't matter-- this is a transmission issue not an issue with oil change maintenance. I pay a lot of money monthly for what?!?!
I am hopeful that you will still be able to help me!!

Elderly couple with out AC and its 95-100 in south Texas and 3 days now with no response and no idea of if it will be approved for repairs or not. Sent requested documents 2 days ago and they told us they will get back to us at their convenience.

Customer service is very horrible the way they talk to you is ridiculous. How we are suppose to be your clients and you are suppose to be there to help. My transmission went out they claim i didn't get the car serviced i got proof of the service paper now they're claiming i reset a transmission button that cant be located they been looking for reasons to deny my claim. 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND! They are NO HELP. THEY'RE SO BUSY LOOKING FOR A REASON TO DENY YOU.

Customer service is horrible the way they talk to you is not right we are your clients you are there to be help and services. My engine went out in my Hyundai Santa Fe 2018 i have not been in my truck for month waiting on them to make a decision they found a loophole denied my Claim

"Worst Nightmare "

I'm not sure how when you get your car service and they tell you. You have an engine oil leak and that was on 2/23 . But tell you don't worry about we will monitor it. Let fast forward on March 31 car starts smoking and this is the first sign something is wrong with your car.. Contact Merit to file a claim mind you this is the first ever after paying 2 1/2 years . It wasn't an oil leak but a cooling leak and to top it off they as for all this paperwork that of course they thought I wasn't going to have it. Paperwork was submitted after waiting a week and a half while my car sit in the shop. Only to be told they denied the claim because the vehicle was still being used after I was told it was an engine leak but turn out to be something else. Wow this is a rip off I have 6 more payments and never filed a claim. This is crazy to me the Supervisor talk to you like he don't care about a word you saying. Then threatens to hang up on you. Do not I mean DO NOT GET THIS WARRANT WITH THEM THEY WILL BE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!

"Bad people/crooks"

To be honest, steer clear of this company they are not there to help you. The sales person is very vague when he sells you their warranty definitely leaves out all the most important things that will get your claim denied. They’re very strategic in this, they very much know how to steal your money. They are not there to help you they will deny deny and then deny your claim some more and after that, they’ll just deny it again even when you get them all the paperwork needed. I’ve already put in complaints with the Better Business Bureau on these crooks. They want nothing more than your money. They are not there to help you. They are there to rob you I promise you steer clear of this company they live for money and money is all they care about and they will just steal yours right out from under you. Also they have no compassion and their customer service is awful. I’ve been trying to get them to accept my claim for a month I was told during the sales call I could keep my own mechanic and just keep up with my oil changes and I will be just fine! I’ve done and they still won’t pay my claim. They are awful awful people and they know exactly what they’re doing, again they just want your money they don’t wanna help you at all. I honestly don’t know how people like this sleep at night. They have no problems stealing your money. I honestly do believe they get joy out of robbing people again they just want to steal your money. Please don’t fall for it like I did!! They are bad bad people!!!!!!!!
