"Just what we needed..."

We've been going backwards and forwards to kensington for weeks arranging a new kitchen, haggling over price and trying to decide on appliances. We were getting close to making our decisions and placing the order when our old fridge freezer packed up. I called them on the Tuesday morning and by friday lunchtime I had my shiny new applliances in place and ready to use. I think Kensington are great and I'm recommending them to everyone.

"Fast and Reliable"

I ordered a Smeg gas fire to fit in our living room, Kensington Appliances had the lowest price I could find online. The appliance arrived on time and without problems. Unfortunately the spark ignighter failed and the appliance stopped working, Kensington helped organise aan engineer under warranty and the problem is sorted. I would recommend Kensington Appliances to my friends and Family.

"Very impressed!"

I started by visiting the usual currys and comets which a lot of people do thinking that they would be able to help me out. But after being treated like a fool and trying to be sold something I really didn't want I decided to try elsewhere.
A friend recommended Kensington Appliances after they had had such a postive experience with them.
I was quite astounded firstly with the amount of products on display, which I certainly didn't expect from a "high street" store. And secondly with the level of service offered by the attentive staff.
After buying my new fridge freezer I was happy in the fact that I was leaving with exactly what I wanted and at a competitive price.
On the whole it was a very positive experience for me too and I will definitely be recommending Kensington Appliances to my friends and family.

"Good Product, Good Price, but Poor Communication Led to Problems."

I was in the market for a new fridge-freezer and someone recommended Kensington appliances to me. I went to the show room and had a look around, while there was a good range, they didn't have the kind of Fridge-freezer that I was after. A couple of days later, after some Internet searches, I decided upon a Fridge-freezer that I wanted. There were two factors that were important to me, the price and the time frame in which it could be delivered.

I got three prices of the Fridge-freezer online, took the best price and gave Kensington a call. I did this in an attempt not for KA to better the price even further, but to support a local business and give them the money instead of a larger business.

I gave them a call and explained the situation, quoting the best price that I was given from a website. The first response from Kensington appliances was a much higher price, which made impractical to for me to buy from them. I explained this and I was asked to provide the address of the website as evidence of the price. As requested, I passed on the details. KA told me that they could come down on the price but not as much as other companies. I thanked them for their time and intended to buy the Fridge-freezer elsewhere, again for reasons of price and time.

A day or two passed and KA called me back, matching the price which I was happy with so I gave them the business and was told that KA would deliver and have a couple of guys to install the Fridge for me in 3 weeks from the purchase date which was within my time scale.

A number of weeks passed (more than 3) and when calling, I was given a number of excuses as to why the Fridge freezer would not be delivered on-time e.g. problem with the suppliers factory, and difficulty because of the colour (white), the last reason given was that the 'date of delivery did not mean to my house, but to the KA premises, where upon KA unbox the fridge-freezer, check for any damage or technical issues and 'run' the freezer for 24 hours to test before delivery to my home.

I called again and asked another employee whether this was KA company policy and it was denied.

I was finally given another date, and this delivery did not happen (bearing in mind that I had taken a day off of work to wait for this). When I called KA past the time that is was supposed to be delivered I was told that 'it must have missed the truck' and when demanding the delivery I was told that this was 'impossible' because 'the drivers are going the other way'.

Finally, I explained that if I did not receive the fridge-freezer on the next agreed date that I would have to cancel my order. The fridge-freezer did arrive shortly after.

I hope this review helps others in my situation.

"Fantastic service; knowledgeable and informative"

Thank goodness this shop was recommended by a friend. We not only saved a fortune on our appliances, but we knew that the products we were buying were worth having, and were even surprised at our change of mind when informed about new technology in refridgeration and other appliances.

Well done Kensington Appliances. I would recommend you to everyone I know!!

"very happy with everything"

got all my built in appliances for my new kitchen recently from the huge shop in Heathfield, i have been using them for years and am still very impressed with the knowledge of the staff, good prices and quick delivery,The delivery guys were very good too and took my old stuff way which was a great help. Will be back soon for one of the lovely coloured retro fridges they have a great display of, i have fallen in love!

Got a great deal on a tumble dryer and had it delivered next day, can't remember the name of the chap I spoke to but I do remember he had an awesome tatoo
