"Very speedy response "
I was visiting one of my neighbours in Copperfields and unbeknown to me she had knocked her personal alarm, she wasn’t aware the alarm was ringing so by the time I reached the main unit and she hadn’t answered the main telephone was ringing to ascertain she was OK. I was impressed at the speed and reassurance she received on the phone. I haven’t had to use my call system yet but am very reassured if I do need to help will be speedily available

I guess that if I'd not got stressed, I could have helped myself. But stress of even a minor type can mess up your thinking. So, for me it started with one of the shopping bags giving way. I picked it all from the ground and popped it in the car boot all loose while I took the other bag into my apartment at Elmhirst Lodge. After putting the frozen stuff away, I went back to the car with the now empty shopping bag. But of course, you've all realised by now what I, under just a little frustration at this point, had forgotten to take with me. So back to the car I go and re-bag the remaining shopping but now I can't re-enter the building as I'd put the keys down in the apartment, and not picked them up again. Now frustration turns into mild panic. It's late enough that Lodge Manager has left for the day – blast! I know, easy! I'll simply ring one of my neighbours. But can I remember the number of anyone who won't be too concerned at this time of day? Normally I'd be able to list quite a number, but no – right now my brain has stopped working! So I press the Careline/Lodge Manager button and a lovely lady speedily takes in the situation and after a few security questions she remotely opens the door for me. Well done Careline Support.

I have had contact with careline on several occasions over the last 12 months when there has not been a lodge manager here. I have always found them very efficient and friendly.

"Careline quick response "
After feeling very unwell I used my pendant to contact Careline who responded quickly. They called for an ambulance and I was taken into hospital. Before the ambulance arrived Careline kept in contact with me making sure that I didn’t feel alone. I continue to live safely at Fern Hill Lodge knowing that Careline is at the end of the phone.
