im really unhappy at the length of time its taken to ship my order to me. I believe i paid for a service that was going to be a week at most and the delivery date has moved from the 22nd to the 24th now thats if it doesnt get moved again

Ordered a new gas meter box on the 21st November and received it not so long afterwards. I just opened the top of the box to make sure the correct coloured box had arrived (as we ordered a brown one to match the brickwork) which it had, but didn’t remove the whole box from the cardboard box it arrived in. We did notice that for the weight of the box that there wasn’t enough bubble wrap around the meter box. The whole package was then stored out of the way until we could get a qualified Gas Safe engineer to fit it. We were unable to get anyone to fit the new box until January and when we removed it from the packaging we saw that the bottom of the box which had virtually no bubble wrap was dented and the box was broken in the corner. We contacted thr company to complain but they said that it was over 30 days then there was nothing they could do as it could have been damaged by ourselves. As mentioned above it doesn’t take much brain power to realise that that given the way delivery firms handle items that the amount of packaging was way too little for the weight of the meter box. So a waste of nearly £100 but we bought a replacement from someone else and won’t use Trade Counter Direct again.
