The after service is non-existent, to terrible, as is their ability to retain staff. This, in turn, maybe partially responsible for their inability to answer service queries?
I have gates that have never worked properly as the process of survey, through to installation, has failed.
Since the gates were installed, I've had little joy effectively raising these issues with Westcountry Group. So, I had another company visit. They reported, and confirmed, that the gates had never been commissioned properly, using miss-matching or sub-standard equipment, which has led to the issues we're dealing with.
I sent WG a letter over 14 days ago stating they were in breach of my consumer rights, to which I have had no reply. I have just left them feedback on their Facebook page, which was instantly removed.
Again, do not use this company. Also, don't bother trying to call, email, Facebook post...you get my drift.

Aftercare service is non existent despite numerous calls, with lame excuses for such inept service.
Having spoken to a competitor, they arrived within 48hrs and pointed out shoddy cheap workmanship that they have now repaired.

"A very disappointing experience"
A very disappointing experience. We called on the gates division of West Country group looking for a professional review of our installation and to make proposals of how these could be made safer and more reliable. Having seen their good reviews we spoke to them and they suggested they would come and serivce the gates and make recommendations on the back of that. We hadn't had them serviced for a while so that seemed sensible. They insisted on payment up front which seemed unusual but given their reviews we felt safe and agreed. An engineer arrived and decided that he didnt like the way it had been installed. He didnt complete the service and said they would make recommendations. Nothing was received and after several follow ups and failed promises a very short email was received with a price to replace everything. No explanation why, no report of what the engineer had found, no specification of what they proposed to install and an expensive quote compared to others subsequently received. When asked for a break down of what they proposed nothing was received. Given the service was not completed a refund was requested which was partly agreed after deducting their "call out fee" which was 80% of the cost. 2 months later though and no refund has been received. Clealry this has previously been a good company to deal with as other reviews testify, however something seems to have gone badly wrong with their attitude to their customers and service recently.

"Guys came to install new drive gateand…"
Guys came to install new drive and pedestrian gate yesterday. They did a brilliant job - they look very stylish. They were punctual, polite, very respectful of our property and left everything clean and tidy. They went beyond just installing the gates. There was a small gap between the gate post and a fence, big enough for our dog to get through so without being asked they made a small fence from a panel they had on board which has made it safe for the dog.. nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you so much. Would recommend this company.

"Quick response to an urgent security…"
Quick response to an urgent security gate entrance pad issue. Engineer was very particular and made sure the installation was fully working before his departure, despite additional wiring issues! Great service all round and communication. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

"Great gates !"
Overall this company gave a great service and we have a fantastic new pair of automated gates. The site visit from Jim the operations director was very helpful, as he was subsequently on the phone. The fitting teams were absolutely great - very polite and efficient, clean and tidy in their work, and realistic with timescales. The after fitting visit ( arranged very quickly from my request) from the service engineer to solve a minor issue was also excellent. My only less positive comment would be the slightly unrealistic timescales suggested by the sales support team and the lack of communication when those changed (I would give 4.5 stars out of 5 if I could). But overall a great product and I would use them again.

"Gold standard customer service and technical support."
I could not be more impressed with the gate maintenance service I received this morning. Adam diagnosed the principal issue within minutes of arriving and had it fixed shortly thereafter. He also found and fixed an installation issue that I was unaware of. Our gate is now performing BETTER than it did on the day it was installed (by a competitor). Throughout the visit, Adam was a pleasure, a real credit to the company.
Next time I need anything done with the gate, Westcountry will get the business. Frankly, in the Plymouth area and on my experience April 2019 to Jan 2021, their service sets the standard for the rest of the market to follow.

"Disappointed with after care"
Disappointed with after care ! Gates are great when they work ! We have called them out around 10 times to fix the same problem , still they don’t know how to fix it , so now they refuse to come out ! Jaime told us to go find someone else to look at them ! So we are now with electric gates that don’t work !! Poor service !

"So good to deal with a caring team."
I sent an email, outlining problems that we were experiencing and requested help and advice. It was answered promptly, sympathetically and with a quiet efficiency., Payment was made easily, with options offered, An engineer's visit was arranged and we were kept updated, with a final considerate follow up to ensure that all was well.
The engineer, was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging, giving us useful advice. After adjustments he persisted with various locations for the handset until he had resolved the problem.
We feel that both members of the the team that we dealt with were a credit to their company and we appreciate their prompt attention.

"A great service from start to finish"
We found Westcountry Gates at the Home Fayre. We received a great service from start to finish. Emails and calls to arrange visits, prices and quotes quickly sent to us. The guys who fitted them were wonderful, did an amazing job and took a lot of pride in their work. Will be recommending to a friend.
