Watch out for their Tech Auctions. Just got scammed buying a Fitbit Charge 5. Looked new in box, the sensors don't work, so all I have is a watch with no functions. They are quoting buyer beware. It was not listed as faulty or for spares or repair. I will be deleting my account with them as they refuse to refund.

I have successfully bought a number of items from John Pye over the past couple of years. Last month I won a portable hi fi player. The online photograph did not show that the front of the machine had been prised off from the main unit. The hi fi failed to switch on and is dead, only fit for the bin. If only staff at John Pye had plugged the hi fi in, and recognised it is beyond repair before posting it online as if it was working. They would have seen it was not fit for sale. No recourse as they had a viewing day which most bidders would
not be able to attend. Others beware.
Sorry John Pye, I won't be buying from your auction site again. Would not risk spending hard earned money on more useless tat.

unos autenticos timadores, compro una impresora, en el anuncio de venta no ponia nada que estuviera defectuosa o que no funcionase. Llego a casa y la pruebo y no funciona, la miro y resulta que le habian cortado y quitado la pieza mas importante de la impresora, El fusor... Ahora tengo un pisapapeles de 120€. Y ahora me responderan diciendo que contacte con atención al cliente, cosa que ya he hecho y nadie me da una solución. ESTAFADORES

I love shopping in John pye auctions because i could save a lot of money instead of buying new ones though they also have new items. Thank you John pye for such and incredible auctions company. Easy and exciting experienced all the time. If you have problems, they are easy to contact with. I had a problems with my items and i had a great experience with Jenna who help me solve my problems so quick. Thanks again Jenna for assisting me.

"Awful experience. Avoid"

Awful experience. They sell broken goods and don't seem to care. I bought an LP turntable from them and it clearly isn't pat tested as it smoked and set on fire.
Also, bought some video games and they didn't have discs in them. They said as an auction seller they can't guarentee complete items. So i paid for empty cases.
They offered a return but I had to pay for the return.
Ridiculous. Especially when many lots are non viewing now and upon request, they won't give more details.

Do not buy anything in a box or online auction! Description of products very vague, missing parts and boxes to complete assembly and told that's my problem.
Bought 2 lamps, one box states 1 of 2 so collected 2 boxes.. only got legs and no lamps or fittings and they stated I would have had 4 boxes if them were complete and that's what was clear by the 1 of 2 sticker. Clear as mud.
Avoid. Cheap for a reason, have learnt my lesson and won't use them again 😤

"Fridge freezer "

First time ordering and I took a huge risk buying an American fridge freezer. Stupidly I wasn't aware of the extra fees so spent more than I had planned on but that was my own fault. After winning the auction, I read online reviews for the company and felt sick as thought I had just been scammed out of a lot of money. I called the nottingham branch to ask for dimensions of the fridge freezer so I could arrange collection which they refused to give me so I ended up paying the delivery fee to save driving all the way there only to find it wouldnt fit in the van. The delivery company was great and a week or so later, the fridge freezer arrived and much to my surprise when I plugged it in it actually worked and is in the exact same condition as in the photographs. It was also very well packaged to prevent damage in transit. 48 hours later and it is filled with food and working perfectly so I am very relieved
