Ordered Trepanel smoked oak panels whilst on special offer. Needed to cut a half circle in these to accommodate a round mirror. These panels are stapled and not glued so the slats become very loose very quickly. W&F advice is to add a drop of panel adhesive behind the slat to secure it. It would seem that others glue these in the first instance which is a much better option.

I also ordered the LED light strips to complete the project. Due to delay in installation I didn’t notice that these strips came in unsightly white, they look good when switched on but terrible by day. Others supply ‘black’ LEDs which offer a perfect disguise against the black acoustic felt.

I contacted W&F with a view to returning these strips but as I was outside of the fourteen day return window they were initially not interested.

In fairness a subsequent conversation has now lead to the acceptance of my return so fair play to these guys.
